THE ROCK GOD
Right you are, Harrold changed the game coming off the bench, prodding home from close range to make it 3-2 IIRC.
Hooper aswell.

Gower scored the equaliser.
I seem to remember winning at Orient last season with a 4-5-1 system. But I agree, although I remember "going for it" against Hartlepool at home when they were down to 10 men and we were losing 2-1 at H-T, we went 3 upfront if I remember rightly and eventually won the game also Norwich at home in the CCC. Not everything is black and white!
I thought the left back (forgot his name now) scored the 3-3 each equaliser ??

There was the odd occasion where it worked but 2 or 3 times in a season that ended in relegation isn't enough.
I hate to disagree again, buddy, but Harrold didn't score that night. Eastwood got the first, Hammell the second with a great free-kick and then Gower's stoppage time equaliser.
Hooper changed the game when he came off the bench and made a three up top with Harrold and Eastwood.

What a left wing Stevie Hammell and the G-Man was........I know Hammell had his critics but I liked him a lot.
Indeed, better in the air than he should have been, never really caught out of position, and a wand of a left-peg. superb player.
Nonsense, He couldn't throw the ball 40 yards and he rarely jumped around like a loon clapping the West Stand after games. Terrible full-back and a Tosser to boot.
Tilly had a Plan B. Trouble is that we looked woeful every time we deviated from 4-4-2.
That's correct, however Harrold did have a very good game too (probably his best for us).
Didn't Harrold break his nose in that game? Or is age just catching up?
