Who should start up front on Saturday?

Think we need a change, especially at home.
As others have said would like to see Blair/Screech or Corr/Screech - but not Blair & Corr & Soares - if we must stick with Blair/Corr give Spencer a go in place of Soares - can't do any harm can it?

442 with Corr and Spencer please, however as we seem intent on 4-5-1 then Corr is the best option to lead the line.

What he said. Personally I am in no doubt that Corr is the best we have, only one who looks remotely like league 1 standard to me.

Also i'm not sure we should be talking about the 'likes of Morecambe' in a patronising way. We are on a equal level now and we should treat them with respect.

Is Zaaboub available to play?

Sturrock for me, from what I've seen I think at this level a good player holds up well and some of his through balls to others are brill he needs someone that can read it. Spencer is quick and could do the job but needs some confidence(run in the team) . I was very negative about the son in the team but I have to say Sturrock Jr has impressed

He's not going to play 4-4-2 though. So the more pertinent question is that taking the 4-5-1 as a given who do you want us to play up front on Saturday?

I'd like us to play David Villa and Leo Messi up front on Saturday but it ain't going to happen.

You could be wrong. This was from tonight's echo (Fri 17th sept).

Sturrock must therefore also decide which formation will work best against Morecambe.

He has already experimented with a few different systems and insisted it was a 4-3-3 which Blues used at Northampton last Saturday.

“We’re not trying to play 4-5-1 away from home,” said Sturrock.

“My heart and my head had two systems for the game at Northampton but I’m on a learning curve as well at the moment and I’m beating myself about things too so I need to decide what’s best to do for tomorrow.”

Gosh. Hate is a ridiculous word to use - I haven't felt that feeling for any footballer and I pity anyone who has. As for first team selection - as you point out, the person who matters (i.e. the manager) appears to disagree with you and I have more respect for his opinion than I have for yours!

You are Paul Sturrock and I claim my £5.00!!

For me depends what formation they put out, very likely they will play 5 in the midfield, if we go 4 4 2 with Hall wide we might well get outgunned in that area. So imo we will play with just one up front, most likely Blair, although i would like to see Corr

I get a feeling after this season Blair Sturrock aka Rat Boy will be joining SUFC Legends such as Graeme Jones, Matt Harrold and Billy Paynter in the Lead Boot League.

Not a great example to list someone we didnt give a chance who went on to score 45 goals in 102 games....

i think paterson and spencer should have a chance, and corr should be in the mix. blair for me isnt coming up with the goods and i think paterson and spencer both have goals in them.

After watching the game at Northampton last week and still wondering how we lost to such a poor side, it is plainly obvious what we need. We need a 20 goal a season striker! No rocket science needed, if you find one of those in this divison then you are pretty much certain to be in the play-offs at the very least. We would have battered Northampton last week if we had a player who knew where the net was. Blair Sturrock tries hard but he simply can't finish and none of the other strikers we have, give any opposition defenders anything to be really scared of. I would be stunned if any of our current forward line get 10+ goals this season. I still think that Luggy may have missed the boat with Elvis Hammond and/or Izale Mcleod, although the latter has an attitude problem.

As for today......It's best of a bad bunch!

Corr and Sturrock?!
