Strikers who we could get

Very hot and cold player, can be frustrating, if he's on it he looks unplayable, if not he looks like a donkey.
Which is why he is in the National league.

Levi Amantchi was on our radar before he went to Bromley, still only 24 so may be worth another look, he also looks like a Cardwell replacement in terms of his heading ability.

Will Davies at Sutton may also be worth looking at

What about Billy Waters, scored goals at this level, mainly for Halifax and he's from the South.

A player I would like would be Marcus Wyllie from Gills, according to a Gillingham mate, he could be available to drop down and kick start his FT career. Scored buckets for Enfield.

Billy Waters is interesting as his loan at Halifax from Wrexham expires this weekend. Halifax will obviously be interested in re-signing him. His contract expires in the summer too.

I work with one of his mates. I’ll put in a word. From Ipswich way I think.

We have two ex Gills strikers that have scored 2 league goals between them this season and rarely scored for the Gills. I dont want a third Gills striker who hasn't even scored for them.

Any interest in Alfie Rutherford again? Was an insurance issue last time I think but possibly not an issue now?

Pretty sure he had an op on his heart issue and should be good for the rest of his career. May still be an insurance issue however, depends on how insurers see it.

I'd put money on the next signing being a young cheap striker on loan

We are not in a position to be making marquee signings

So for those of you who are good at finding suspects, I'd look at possible loan signings from decent youth teams like West Ham for example
I mean that’s literally my first post. But I went from Championship down because no Prem club will loan to us realistically

Yes he was born in Ipswich and likes playing down this end of the country he hated it up north playing at York! He has scored a lot of goals locally for Leiston and is now top scorer for Sutton, he is well thought of there so I can't see them letting him go unless of course he is still unhappy!

What about the Brentwood town striker, can’t spell his name but rumours a few national league clubs looking at him

If we are to get out of this league then we need to get a proven striker like say Ollie Palmer who is a big lump with a record of scoring goals, and generally being a sh1thouse to other sides.
Exactly this. Loan market can offer us good options I.e Pepple or a decent midfielder / defender but very few 18-21 year olds are big lumps with a record of scoring / assisting. Kev said we put the most crosses in the box but how many lead to chances, yes we can blame quality of deliveries but I would argue we haven’t had a strong aerial threat / focal point since Cardwell. Not saying we resort to Hoofball but we need the option to play a bit more Stoke City than Arsenal to get up and out this league.
