Strikers who we could get

Napster

No ⭐
A list of young strikers from the Championship down who are Southern/East England-based (except Luton), who have not played for their club yet, who aren't seemingly injured, who have an interesting goal record, who may be available for loan:

Errol Mundle-Smith, 18, Norwich - 5 goals in 8 games for their Under 21s.

Daniel Ogwuru, 20, Norwich - 2 goals in 10 for the U21s

Brandon Forbes, 18, Norwich

Kasway Burton, 18, Oxford

Luke Skinner, 17, Bristol City

Laken Torres, 20, Watford

Jaiden Celestine-Charles, Millwall

Henry Hearn, 20, Millwall

Tayo Singger, 17, Portsmouth

Lorenzo Strachan, 18, QPR

League One on its way

Amaru Kaunda, Cambridge

Jahiem Dotse, Wycombe

Ollie Dewsbury, Bristol Rovers

Verrell George, Reading

Patrick Casey, Charlton

Micah Mbick, Charlton

Emmanuel Sol Loza

League Two to come

Hopefully the club were paying a some attention before the season began, embargo or not?

Excellent work Napster, exactly some of the types of loans we should have been upping oiur exposure to

Bring in 4 or 5 of those would be good

Botan Ameen, Swindon

Joshua Bayliss, Gillingham

Reuben Amissah, AFC Wimbledon

Ibrahim Olateju, Cheltenham

Great list. Haven’t read all the profiles yet, but interested to find out if any of them been loaned out before. That’s something we look for in a young loanee isn’t it? Worked well with Bim

Great work but most of these are just strikers and not replacements for Bim

We have enough and arguably better options already for general strikers what we don't have is someone who can lead the line and be physical, most of your suggestions would get snapped by a CB in the NL

Unfortunately I feel like Bim is a one of a kind and the game plan will need changing

In which case, we NEED to sign some creativity and pace in the midfield if we can't get a like for like Bim replacement

I was thinking just the same. Great list for a fourth striker option but not for a replacement for Bim. These are all really young and we can't expect them to come in and play week in, week out at 17 and 18 years of age.

As you say, we need a target man.

As was discussed on another thread, it's less about height and more about how that player plays. Aquah was one of the biggest units I'd seen, yet, he couldn't jump to save his life. Likewise Dackers.

You also then have to factor in that those boys aren't even fully developed yet. I can't recall many big number 9 types doing a job on loan at 17-18. Finisher, poacher types, yes, but number 9's no.

Adarkwa was apparently a target, he makes sense. Knows the league, grown man but still young enough. That's the type of player we need to replace Bim.

If we are to get out of this league then we need to get a proven striker like say Ollie Palmer who is a big lump with a record of scoring goals, and generally being a sh1thouse to other sides.

What is the point is Shivaas Gulati joining the board if he is not going to get the cheque book out buy a few players to get us out of this poxy league.

I for one couldn't care less about the burgers etc because I go to watch the football (if you can call it that right now).

Yes, I am grateful to COSU for what they have done for the club but we do need to look at spending a few quid, rather than take a gamble on a young loanee who of course will be taken back/sent elsewhere if and when they perform which just puts in on a merry go round.

And before the lynch mob come out with "there was more debt than first anticipated) etc, what was the point in weeks and months of DD if the rat was hiding things because surely that would have been discovered and if not, he and Rat Junior is gonna be libel.

There is something about strength & age (plus experience).

Is it not the case that male players develop muscle strength and mass as they go from being teenagers to early twenties? Up against good veteran defenders they certainly have their work cut out.

How many times did we see players like John White (who weren't that big) nullify opposing strikers by using their nous and experience.

Anyway, I am wondering if a "target man" from this age group might be difficult to unearth than a more pacy player. Just a thought.

Good research here - although you'd have to hope the club are well up on this sort of thing already. Can you find us a left wing-back too?

I don't think a raw 17 year old is what we need. More like someone who's 20/21 and has been out on loan before so knows the score. I like the sound of Henry Hearn at Millwall - am sure Maher could ask Adam Barrett about him - if he's come through that youth set up he must be tough enough to play in this league?

Absolutely this, though I fear finding a player that fits that profile this month will be tricky. We've been too nice as a team for too long, letting other teams kick the **** out of us, waste time and pressure officials. To get out of this godawful league, you need to have a bit of a mean streak, and we've just been too soft. We need a striker that leads from the front and gives opposition defenders a proper battering, which will in turn will create better chances for our other players.

I agree about the 17 or 18 year old, although should not overlook that many of the successful loanees brought in are 21 and 22 years olds, playing at a much higher level, often trained long term with that club, gaining experience at mans football by being previously loaned out and these upper league clubs have an academy. They are also playing against higher teams than us in the trophy thingy

We need to be careful about over knocking the successful and huge contribution these players have made in this league, perfect experience for them

Pepple was 21 when he came here, just turned 22. Would you like to see 4 or 5 more Pepples ( I dont just mean strikers but the talent/Quality level )

No worry though weve seen thousands over the past few months and are ready to pounce
