New signing about to be announced?

Does anyone else have the feeling a new signing is imminent?

Smiffy hinted at something in the the Jack Sampson thread and now Ben Fryer on Twitter has just tweeted saying he doesn't think Sturrock is done in the transfer market.

Does anyone know something with regards to this?

A centre back maybe is all I can think of with Barker and Phillips both a bit injury prone. I feel luggy and the club are looking at next season with these signings, planning with League 1 football in mind.

Yes, I still feel a centre-back for cover is required - as it would seem that Mohsni is now more of a midfield or striker option and Coughlan is only getting the odd subs position. Prosser leaves me shaking my head - good on his day but too inconsistent at the moment.

Not sure about another goalie as well given that Morris has a hand injury and Bentley has not been on the bench - although they can be easier to "source" in the loan market at times.

What happened about the left back that was on trial - I wonder if that has put Gilbert's nose out of joint ...... and all the business with Mohsni at Oldham ....... at the risk of being a "fish-wife", perhaps there is more of a story there?

No there's no story there. The left back on trial wasnt very good. And by the way his name is Bilel Mohsni not Jesus.

Bojan Djordjic has been released by Blackpool - former Sturrock favourite at Wednesday and Plymouth. Only thing is with Ryan Hall and David Martin signed do we need another left winger?

Chris Phillips tweeted yesterday that he seemed to think a loan was doable. 10th February is our next home game. IF we got Freddy in and he scored a couple before our next home game that would easily guarantee 1000 more bums on seats.

I think i read somewhere that he had scored 2 in a coventry reserve game, but still looked overweight and not match fit. Not sure where i read it. In all honesty i dont think luggy would get another forward in> still think the guy Mcardle from Aberdeen could be the one.

Yes he did score 2 in a reserve game yesterday. CP also tweeted about his body fat percentage. The average for is 10% and Freddy's is currently 15%

Hasn't stopped Akinfenwa though.
