Question Stadium update please!

Guess who owns Citizen Housing!
That's an interesting question!

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/OC425143/persons-with-significant-control

It's Allied Housing Limited and Lenrose House Limited, but beyond that it gets a bit murky!

Allied Housing Limited is controlled by Allied Commercial Exporters Limited, who are controlled by Allied Commercial Holdings Limited, they are controlled by:

Mr Guy Sullman Dellal and Mr Alexander Dellal

Lenrose Housing Limited is controlled by Mr Jack Leonard Martin (who I am assuming might be related to Ron)!

Napster started to uncover some of this stuff about a month ago - http://www.shrimperzone.com/forums/threads/convoluted.102698/

A quick look on Companies House might answer some of the questions re. revenue stream. This is by far the most realistic proposal we have seen for a new stadium.

mods I tried to give a link to Napster's brilliant post about the various companies involved but clearly failed as it's come up separately. I think some members might have missed it so it's worth a look. Could you link it on this thread please. Thanks

Which thread is it on mate?

I donk care if its 22,000 or 14,000 if it saves our club and a posh new stadium to boot it fit well with me .I didn't see a shopping complex and picture house ever being realistic . the timing ma seem strange but rember the government wanted housing construction to keep going so may be that helped push things on .

If I owned the Fish House I would think very carefully about relocating the business to Fossetts Farm. With the world's supply of social housing out there coupled with existing supporters of the establishment they would clean up.

I'm not sure we'll benefit any less from the housing than we would the retail and leisure elements. We wouldn't have owned those either.

As long as the stadium has decent facilities for conferencing and events, we will significantly increase our income. Colchester's ground (yes I know they have no fans but still) makes more money from hospitality than it does on matchdays.

I just hope some thought is put into the stadium, and that safe standing is incorporated.

so how will the club receive non football related income if the proposal is now purely housing ? aren't we just moving the existing issues from one site to another ? or am i missing something ?

sorry Billericay i think we posted at the same time
All needs clarification. The housing is to be owned by the Council. Will they own the stadium too? Maybe Ron will only benefit from the RH land the houses are to be built on and his son, from house building for the council. Not sure where income for the football club comes in.

Don’t know if this has been mentioned, but surely if they knew this was the plan then the planning application should already be pretty much done.

Great news, just hope it’s not going to be a bit like Oxfords stadium where it has an open end due to capacity being changed (ours going from 14k to 21k)

You would certainly hope so, the numbers are quite precise so they will have at least some block plans to ascertain site density, mix of housing etc.

As I said above, I'm 99% sure that the stadium bit will remain unchanged (I think the Echo article is misleading when it says the capacity is reduced - it says phase 1 is 14,000 and that was always the case).
