As poor as he's been Barker isn't going to be dropped unfortunetly.

I can see just the one change with Sampson in for Harris. Bring Harris on last 20-25

We owe these mugs a smashing.

Team I'd like to see,
Belford

Clohessy Phillips Prosser Hills

Hall Dailly Timlin Martin

Sampson Benyon

Id like that team as well, although would want Harris to start if possible.

Sadly think we will as always get 3 central midfielders.

No he probably wont, but as he scored and Benyon/Harris seems like our best combo seems a shame not to play them.

Maybe see if Harris could play an hour. Then bring on fresh, young legs in Sampson. The best I've seen Sampson play this season was at Northampton when he came on against tired legs.

as OBL stated above this is possibly the most important game of the season, pivotal in fact, a win could mean the world to our promotion bid a loss have the oppisite effect

If we don't win tonight, but win every game between now and the end of the season we will still get promoted. Tonight's game isn't make or break. But, given that all the teams around us are playing eachother and points will be dropped, we need to take advantage. In that respect I agree that the game is pivotal.

We may still have 9 games to go, but at some point the games are going to run out and we are going to get into a position where a game is a must win. We need to take the pressure off by winning now so that we don't ever have a game that is a must win.

However important the game is, we mustn't put so much pressure on ourselves that we don't perform, and a lot of that will come from the crowd. We need to be up for this one as much as the players. We need to be bouncing before kick off and give them a seriously good welcome onto the pitch. We need to keep the noise going even if we aren't playing well, or even if we don't like the style of football. At this point in the season, what matters the most is that we win, not how we do it.

Let's not also forget that we owe Alder**** one, if not two, and giving them a spanking will go along way to making up for the game(s) at their place.

I hope we treat Aldershot like ****. Take the bulbs out of the away changing room and make sure the water is freezing in the showers.

We need to mess up their preparation with mind games and go out and wipe the floor with them.

I doubt they will shower before the match...how about block all their toilets?

So if Blair starts and Harris is put to the bench, would you agree with this?

I think this could be mind games by Luggy. Harris started away at Burton on a Saturday then followed it up starting v Crawley on the Monday, so no concerns then and there was less rest time! If we're winning with 20 to go, I'd expect to see Blair come on for Harris to help see the game out.

I expect the same XI to start, but would like us to replace ferdinand with martin as we're at home, and play Timlin in the middle with Dailly.

prediction...

3-0 Benyon, Dailly, Sampson (on as sub)

Several times this season when we have failed to win after a close run of games, Sturrock conceeded that he should have freshened things up. Lets hope its fresh tomorrow night and if we dont win the never change a winning team brigade dont find a bandwagon

Dont change a winning team is a fine philosophy. Normally Id question the sanity of making changes to a team that has won.

On this occassion Id happily see changes as I want Martin/Hall to play but I dont think we will see that.

In Steve Claridge's Tales From The Boot Camps, he mentions how John Beck would turn the heaters up to the max in the visiting changing room during the summer games and vice versa for winter fixtures. No lightbulbs tonight would be funny.

Actually I think the pre-match music should have a 'light' theme; 'Leave The Light On' by Belinda Carlisle, for example, or 'When The Lights Go Out' by Five.

In my opinion a must win game for us tonight. We must take points back from some of the other promotion chasing teams and this is an excellent opportunity

Does Uncle Ron know where the fuse box is located should we be losing in the sceond half, he can quietly nip down and remove the fuse and pay back time is complete. :winking:

Gutted I can't go to this, but sounds like we played a 4-1-2-1-2 against Hereford. I would like to see this:

Bellford

Clohessy..Phillips..Prosser..Hills

Dailly

Hall .............................Martin

Timlin

Benyon.......Harris

I know this won't happen but I think Hills and Martin, and Clohessy and Hall link up very well. Think we'll see the same team as Saturday though and happy Ferdinand had a good game apparently.
