Wealdstone are at at home to Billericay in the 3rd round. So even if we lose in the Trophy, chances are Wealdstone go through and won’t be free on the 13th anyway.

Yep - Wealdstone away is on Tues 23rd Jan. - with season ending on 20 April there won’t be many spare dates - particularly if we have a frosty winter

Think Oldham is off

Another example of how diabolical these things can be. We travelled up on the coach to Oldham last year and it was called off when we got to Peterborough. Looks like they are at it again with a late postponement. Everyone knows it's one of the coldest places in the country in regards to football. Common sense never seems to prevail in those situations. Mind boggling.

Is the cover going over the pitch at night? That area below the south can get rock hard with a few days of zero degrees.

Put this up Thursday.
Pitch maintenance isn't rocket science, and a decent cover would have sorted it but we are in a hole, a rat hole.

Got to Stansted an hour and a half late, got x30 bus to Southend and could have got to roots hall by kick-off but....

Not the first time this has happened! Total travel time six and a half hours! Flying back on Monday.

Nice to hear from you my friend first thing the wife said to me at about 10.30 this morning was poor old Trevor coming all that way and now this has happened. "What an absolute Bummer" we all hope to see you soon, I will definitely save some sweets for you next time we catch up should it be next year. Travel safely until we meet again. Bonsoir Nobbler. The worst thing about today's postponement is that I'll have to eat all the French biscuits and chocolate covered marshmallows all myself as I couldn't pass them round at half-time.
