Won't touch a roots Hall burger. Had my guts turned inside out too many times.

Does the north have a bar or is it still the hatch by the burger van?

Last time I used it, there was just one woman serving, bottles only and the card machine was broken. Not sure that this will be adequate for 1000 in the north.

The same with the little bar at the back of the west. Says that they have pints but didn't and wanted to charge a pint price for bottles.

One of the reasons I stay put in the west is the access to a decent bar pre match and half time.

Can you provide some examples where he outpaced someone? Are they on the highlights?

Sofascore is a data based rating so rewards things like effective crosses, effective passes rather than the SZ option of people sat on their sofa with a keyboard.
I was at the game so no I didn’t watch the highlights- but then highlights would be of little use as highly selective.

It’s a bit like when I go to a game and the stats say there were two shots on target yet I saw at least four with my own eyes where the keeper made saves, let alone blocked shot’s .

However, for example, in the second half I was right at the front by the half way line, and Bonne was playing down that touchline…and with my own eyes I saw him outpace their left back and get crosses at least 2-3 times. So Sofascore would seem to lose out to Beingactuallytherescore- at least that’s what I will now believe fair or otherwise:-)

In the end it isn’t worth getting worked up about- let’s enjoy tomorrow and hopefully three points.

Had to use the old food kiosks when they last closed the gate on Boxing Day (?) and they’ve bumped the prices up closer to the Eat Street prices but still offer the same muck
I won't be buying the ****-poor imitation of hot chocolate sold in the West Stand kiosk.

Sub-standard quality.

It's a good question. I can remember only one example in the game when Bonne burst free and outpaced the defender. He was heading towards the corner flag, looked up and then had to pull the ball back because none of our players were near the penalty area. He did put in a cross but it went long. It was in the second half around 55-60 minutes if I remember correctly.

You see I think that was one where he needed more pace to buy himself more time to pick someone out.

He did strip their left back on one occasion in the second half, racing into the box and creating himself a shooting opportunity.

Sadly he took an age with deciding what to do with it & eventually hit a Fosters-weak left footed shot which was easily blocked (for a corner).

Has playing a back 4 castrated GUS in an Attacking sense.
I'd have no problem going back to a three if so.
Bridge? hasn't had a sniff lately....comeback game for him?
I think we'll go

.............Hayes
Gus Taylor goodliffe ralph
Noor Morton KAF
Bonne Hopper Leon

I would go
...............Hayes
Taylor goodliffe Ralph
Gus Miley Noor Bridge
..................Leon
........Bonne Walker

Injury update - for Southend United (Image: FOCUS IMAGES)

By Chris Phillips. Chief sports reporter.

SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher has provided an injury update on four of his players ahead of Saturday's clash with Solihull Moors at Roots Hall.

Goalkeeper Collin Andeng Ndi has not played since injuring his hamstring at Dagenham & Redbridge in January but his now back in training.

Maher said: "Collin's joined in training this week.

"We'll see how he responds at the end of the week to that and if he's ready to be involved.

"We thought he would struggle to play again this season but he's doing well with his recovery.

"We won't look too far ahead though because he's still get some steps to get through.

"We're pleased though and it will give us good competition in that area."

On Adam Crowther, who has yet to play in 2025, due to a knee injury, Maher said: "He's doing another week of training so that gets him closer again."

But on loan defender James Golding is still unavailable due to a groin issue.

"He's still back at Oxford and going through rehab there," said Maher.

"We touch base with them on a weekly basis to see where he's at but he's not coming back to us within the very near future.

"We're monitoring that and we'll be in touch."

Maher added striker Charley Kendall had yet to return to training due a thigh issue but was getting closer day by day.

Kendall has missed the last two games with the injury.

Gutted to be missing this one. Just like last week so hard to read about the hopes for the game, 8000 plus at RH but wouldn’t miss the family time on holiday. Also off to Marrakech at 16:00 so won’t know the score until we get back later unless we can find Wi-Fi but highly unlikely. As others have said our home game must be wins, 7 pts at worst and then Ebbsfleet away must be nothing less than a win. Can’t see 10 or 12 points not being enough to make the playoffs before the long trip to Gateshead. Teams around us playing each other which will help also with points being dropped. Hope to read about a 3-0 win
