I’m an Oxford fan and am wishing you all the best.
We played Bolton in the L1 playoff a year ago. We weren’t favourites, but on the day, took them apart, they failed to get a shot on target and we won 2-0. A year on we’re still in the Championship.
You were for a number of years our bogey side. We played great, you played ****e, but still won. God I was glad when you went down. However after the crap you went thru, I hope Sunday brings you back to the EFL.

Thanks buddy, loan us Golding for next season as our victory prize and you'll be our mate for ever.

Weird, the weekly pass is £15 I think, roughly the same as attending a game at roots hall.. I’ve splashed out as it is a rather special game/day!

Been having a flick around on the Dazn site with regards to tomorrow/Club World Cup.

It's £19.99 for a month subscription but that then doesnt cover the later stages of the Club WC - which i've also just seen is also being broadcast on C5 for some game.

Might be worth it to take the hit and get it until July 1st...

Sorry for taking this thread OT mods!

I don’t get this Oldham are suddenly PSG thing. Yes they beat Ebbsfleet on the last day of she season, and then Halifax in the play offs, however Halifax limped into the play offs and were absolutely awful when I watched them draw at Eastleigh a few weeks ago, and we comfortably took six points of them.

Oldham also lost to FGR near the end of the season too.

Yes, the result against York was impressive, however they were absolutely gifted the first goal.

Only York and Barnet picked up more points in the last 23 games of the season than us (41 points and only 4 defeats).

Anything can happen on the day, and it’s going to be tight.
My post to which you replied was actually making the point that I did not agree with the comment TJC made about our best chance being to go a goal down and having to fight back. You may not agree that the team Micky Mellon put out against Halifax and York is stronger than others we have faced to date, I happen to think it is and expect to see the same eleven start against us tomorrow. Incidentally, the Oldham side that lost to FGR in the league was still depleted through injuries and bore five changes from Mellon’s currently preferred starting line up.

I am not saying we do not have a chance against Oldham, of course we do. We have a blend of talent, experience and team spirit plus the confidence gained from the results against Rochdale and FGR. Kev and his assistants just have to make sure the boys are focussed on the game and not the occasion. Judging by Maher’s latest interview that’s exactly what they are doing. However, we must not get too down if the result is not what we wish but rather take it as a lesson on what we have to do to make next season successful.

As you say, anything can happen on the day. Let’s hope the superiority and good fortune are with us.

I guess this is as good a thread to put this.
As some of you know, I'm a die hard Barnet fan with a very soft spot for your great club.
Putting aside all the nonsense with tickets, there will be a post mortem in good time, now is the time to thank the many Shrimpers that have helped me secure a ticket, @ Barling Magma, @ SeaSideDoughnut, @ GBJ and finally @ Mad Cyril, who has intrusted me to a match ticket without yet receiving payment... My love for Barnet started in the late 80's and it's loyal fan base is a family I enjoy being part of.. My respect for your Club is only enhanced by the supporters, what a family that is. I genuinely want, wish and pray that you guys and gals will be with us next season in L2. I'm excited, I'm nervous, so bring it on and I'm going to be a Shrimper for the Day Ole Ole... I couldn't be more made up, if I was a badger at the start of mating season 😁

You'd do well in our North Stand then mate as we have a selection of badgers passing through it at the moment. Enjoy the moment tomorrow when we put the Northern monkeys to the sword.

Nerves are kicking in now. After watching playoff Oldham look very impressive. Fondop big strong and looked decent. The player that caught my eye the most was YogaNathan I think our midfield will struggle with him. There left back starts with a K looked good at the hall and with Gus bombing forward always a worry he'll get caught out!
