Gear up for a big game at Roots Hall as we welcome league leaders Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

Soak up the pre-match atmosphere by coming down early and taking advantage of the early opening time of 12pm in the Far Post Bar and Shrimpers Bar.

That's just in time for you to catch Leicester v Chelsea on the TVs in the bars. There is also a happy hour from 12pm-2pm, when you'll be able to get a pint of Amstel, John Smith's or Inch's for just £3.50!

Also as part of the happy hour, it will be just £15 for four bottles of Madri, Moretti or Desperados. You will be able to enjoy a special offering from Fuller's, with their London Pride our 'Ale of the Day'.

Stick around after the game too to watch Manchester City v Tottenham in the Premier League.

15:00. Sat 23 Nov.
Forest Green Rovers.
Goodness me, how exciting! A pint of John Smiths at £3.50. The worst beer in the country. Absolute ****. Surely we can do better than this.

Anyone know what shape FGR play with? I'd be tempted to play Ralph at LWB and bring in Gubbins if they play with 2 up. I'd imagine a Cotterill team like to get crosses in the box

No one's forcing you to drink it - there are other options on draught and in bottles
That’s true but there’s also nothing in that press release that makes me think it’s worth heading there. London Pride is such an uninspired choice as a “special” guest ale that it tells me that they either don’t know what they’re doing or they don’t care. It probably means in future I won’t even bother wasting time clicking on/reading the article. Maybe they’re fine with that and I’m not their target market.

Nothing wrong with a pint of Pride. But it is pretty 'normal' and I'd agree there are more unusual guest ales around. There are more options in bottles that aren't listed in the article, although from memory relatively common beers

What are the odds on us having 3 centerbacks looking after 1 striker and the 2 FGR wide attackers having a field day getting behind our wingbacks?
