After the last 2 performances I am wasting my season ticket tonight and giving this a miss, still too upset and angry after Saturday.

Never thought I would be saying that but our mind numbing, depressing style of crab football has tested me beyond the limit and I need a break.
Southend till I die, or until I get bored

All well and good talking about bringing in more players off season but aren't most of what we have on long contracts Will COSU be able to pay them off and still have money to invest in new players.just a question ❓
It's a small squad still, so id imagine there should be scope to bring in a few without releasing anyone. Then if we can move on a couple perhaps that's frees up more space, and then of course there are loans

For tonight :

Hayes

Wind
Taylor
Golding
Ralph

Gus ——good goalscorer,bad defender
Morton
Chambers—P. —can’t do much worse than alternatives !

Waldron—-see Chambers—P. above !
Bonne—our best attacks occur when Maher lets him on the pitch.
Walker.

Depends how you define a long contract. Haaland just signed up at City until 2034. None of ours go beyond 2026.

There's a pinned 'Player Contracts' thread if you want to check.

Please tell me he didn’t say this! Practically every time we got into the box on Saturday our strikers (or striker-identifying midfielders) attempted a pass instead of a shot and lost the ball every single time.

It isn't clear what he means. Does he mean maybe if they take an extra pass they will have a better chance or maybe if they take an unnecessary extra pass they lose the chance?

I agree with you, I’m wasting my seaso and not going either.

It’s with a heavy heart that after more than 5 decades of supporting the blues I have decided not to attend tonight and stay at home. I really can’t face to leave home at 6pm to get parked, then freeze my nuts off whilst being bored to death.

It feels like I am falling out of love with my team 😢

Sorry.
Bonne will score a hat-trick now
