Given the highlighted, I would love to see an in-depth interview with Freddie getting his reasons for not featuring as much as we would have liked.
I've seen quotes from him in the past claiming he's over his injury problems, so how come a Championship player not so long ago can't get any kind of run in a League Two team - and one where he is considered a hero?
Over to you, Chris P

Subs: Bentley - Coughlan - Spicer - Leonard - Lavery - Harris - Eastwood (if he can be bothered, otherwise a youth)

Seeing as its not Freddy's decision not to be picked Id say asking Sturrock would be a better person to ask..

Not sure why Freddy claiming he was over injuries in the past means he isnt injured now or since ?

3rd place still very much up for grabs but gonna be tough. Dont think there is much between us and the likes of Burton, Cheltenham, Exeter. Perhaps be more worried about a team creeping up the table like Wycombe.

With players we have missing, id take a draw right now, but i think we will struggle. Im going for 1 0 defeat, but then im often wrong.

I am positive and think we have enough still

BUT

Cressie, Tomlin, Timlin out are 3 of 1st choice.
And Leonard plus the other niggles are a BIG question mark over our ability to have a good run into the end of the season.

AND
I believe PS and Cocko know this all to well and are working on it.

Cresswell is only out for 2 league games and Tomlin will hopefully be back in a couple of weeks.

just seen cheltenham are just under 4/1 tonight to win. A cheeky £20 on it to ease the pain tonight

The one to do, for Insurance purposes, will be a bet on the O's next week. Just consider how much you would be willing to pay (and afford to lose) to see Southend at Wembley and lump that sum on an O's win. If we win or draw then you have jsut paid that amount you were willing to pay anyway. If we lose then that's your insurance payment. Best case scenario would then be for a 1-0, 2-1, 3-2 etc. defeat and then victory on pens. You then get the best of both world's.

Jonathan Humphrey ‏@shrimperjon @CJPhillips1982 any team news CP, do you think either Phillips or Barker are likely to start

Chris Phillips ‏@CJPhillips1982
@shrimperjon Phillips is more likely than barker

I presume Barker must still be suffering from that knock he picked up at the start of the second-half, against Orient. If Phillips comes back it will give us a bit of cheer and little bit more hope.

This is the best scenario, as Clohessey Phillips Prosser and Straker seems a lot more solid than Clohessey Barker Prosser Straker

You're not telling me astute Mr S wouldn't pick the in-form local hero in a heartbeat?
Fred's not in because of all the evidence so far. The one moment of vintage 2005 swagger was that crashing penalty to steady nerves and bury Bury in the FA Cup shoot-out.
So is it something else? Has he and the manager rowed? Have they discussed how best to use him? Has he done extra training? Does he need a spell on loan elsewhere?
Thinking about it, both sides of the story would be good so good ole sage-like us can interpret, eh?

Can't see us winning tonight with basically half a team and real key players missing especially Cresswell. I think we'll be lucky to get 1 win and a draw from the next 3 home games. I hope the god I am wrong but we'll soon see.

The loss of Cresswell may have taken Wembley away from us :(

I was quite impressed with Cheltenham's transfer dealings in the window, although they seem to have been a bit of a mixed bag since then. I think this'll be a tricky game especially if we're not able to field some decent defenders.

Not really sure what point you are making.

Sturrock said earlier in the season Freddy hadnt forged a partnership with anyone and he preferred Tomlin and Britt, and since then he hasnt been fit.

Either way Im sure Freddy wants to play so asking him is pointless, when he is fit he is behind Tomlin/Britt and Corr, and thats the manager's decision and one its hard to argue against.

plus Freddy barely looks interested in actually warming up and half the time never comes out at half time to keep warm when on the bench and never runs the line during the game again to keep warm. Not giving off the best impression to fans I don't think.
