We created plenty of chances. In case you didn’t notice, nobody in the squad can shoot on target, and no formation can change that.

I’m not sure what makes you think the same 11 players in a slightly different formation would have altered the result so drastically.

I think if you know you can’t score then it’s back to stopping the opposition playing 451, 4231, 4141 which is what was working (at least well enough).

If we want to play more open having done everything possible to avoid bringing in a CF then we will be schooled by sides that unlike us are clinical.

I am afraid Ron may have to find £££ to solve this one as you won’t find a 12 year old loanee to fix it, or a proven striker who will be keen to come without us paying a premium..

Ron has just as much to play in signing players as MM. If MM has given him his shopping list then Ron has to back his man. I must say that the formation and tactics the last few games have been suicidal though. 5 at the back makes zero sense, we couldn't get out enough

With our squad playing 5 at the back might, on paper look okay BUT time and again it shows too often that our players can't do it, they can't react quick enoug, get up and back fast or rely on midfield to cover. We are NOT Manc C. End of.

The % ration of the strikers working the keeper is low, scoring rate minimal.

Shooting is poor.

Free kicks, without Clifford is weak.

Fitness runs low after 60 minutes.

Yep feels toxic again. We didn’t have January to waste this time around and we’ve done exactly that. Upcoming fixtures look tough too.

We've thrown it away for whatever reason that might be. Those responsible for such a s**t transfer window should know that they may well have buried us in non-league for the first time in this club's long history

I said chances. Please point me to where I used the words ‘clear cut’.

RHF and ANG both had shots from the edge of the area, both off target. RHF had a free-kick from 18 yards out, couldn’t even beat the wall. Akinola had 2 headers that were easily saved by the keeper. We crossed the ball into the box about 30 times, most of them couldn’t even beat the first man. We did loads of through balls that were too heavy and went straight through. These aren’t formation issues. The problem isn’t that we don’t create chances. It’s that we’re useless at making a final ball and finishing them off.
