Yeah we had 14 years in the Southern League. Not quite sure how many seasons as impacted by WW1.You sure when we formed, I thought we applied to Join the football league ? never realised it took 14 years before we become a football league club ?
I think the new guy looked a lot better than Hobson tonightI like Hobson and he has undoubtedly come on a treat but as I have pointed out before he has the unusual ability to fall off a sofa ! Twice a match in the last 3 games lost his footing and either resulted in a goal or could have, Hes not so balanced on a slippery surface its like watching Bambi on ice
We have had 3 very difficult games. Cambridge and Mansfield are two of the best teams in the division. Bradford are also a decent team that probably should be far higher in the table.
We werre unlucky against Cambridge having dominated the first half. We could of got a point against a very good Mansfield team that has had significant investment.
Today was poor however we were missing two of our most influential players.
I still believe we are good enough to escape relegation if we are able to get 1 or 2 decent signings.
My criticism of MM is that the youth players that did so well under Sol have either disappeared or gone backwards examples being Phillips and Clifford.
Sorry but I completely disagree agree with u saying we was poor tonight. We created many more chances and looked much more threatening tonight the we did against Mansfield in 90 minutes. Its just unfortunate we couldent finish off our chances tonight but our defending was better against mansfield.
I agree, and also think we need a break from the hall! Fresh surroundings could help and and our pitch needs a rest.I think in this league, any team can beat any of the others, so what you don't want to be doing is playing teams that are in form - which is what we've just done in the past 2 or 3 games
That is some stat, as you said it’s too much of a coincidenceNot necessarily the best time to show stats, but we are now ELEVEN league games unbeaten....in the first half. (4 wins and 7 draws). That might say something about our fitness or mentality ( or most likely both),
Well said. I don't think we can blame the embargo anymore, we have a squad that should be doing better, at least mid table in lg2.
This isn't Ron's fault anymore, the embargo has been lifted and now we're left with a poor manager. I guess you could say it's Ron's fault appointing him, however, the facts tell the truth, MM is our worst ever manager.
