I have wondered if Golding has actually signed and if he's only playing out the remainder of his month loan, hence bringing in Goodliffe. It all seems strange that we haven't had official confirmation from the club, only 'I think he's signed' from Currie.

In which case it could be Taylor, Goodliffe, Ralph as the 3. With Gubbins and Crowther as back ups.
His original loan should have expired on 6th Jan I believe so would presume it's been extended one way or the other. Supposedly until the end of the season.

I'd start Hopper, at the expense of Walker.

Let Hopper give their back line something physically to think about for an hour or so, when Walker on with his movement, pace and fox in the box type play for the last 30.

I'm definitely feeling a bit more confident that we will retain the ball more in our opponents half now, but that's just me.

Colchester's game tonight has just been postponed:

We've had a fair bit of rain in Chelmsford too.

Anyone in the Prittlewell or Westcliff area able to give us a pitch condition report from their garden?

Its very wet indeed at our beloved home.

I was down there earlier picking up my tickets and there were a few murmurs and whispers of FC Fylde not being at all happy with something which isn't good.

I asked Brian in the ticket office if the game was definitely on or not and he gave that look alongside raised eyebrows and said for me to keep on eye on the clubs X feed.

Unbelievable.

I guess the rain is forecast to be dying off before kick off which gives it a chance to drain and the ground staff time to work on it.
