I had some (small amount) of sympathy for Ron when it appeared he'd run out of cash. If true he's got the cash and choosing to run the business this way, then that's absolutely dispicable.

He either did have the money or he didn’t.
Asking permission to make the payment is a separate step. He could have asked for permission a month ago, two months ago, whenever

At last! Wonder if this includes the July wages due soon. I'd be pleasantly shocked if that were the case.

I'd be even more shocked if they got any kind of loyalty bonus, which they so deserve.

Agreed, he has mentioned several times that the staff would be rewarded. We need to make sure he is reminded of this.
From a moral point of view the staff are not “paid up to date” until that loyalty bonus has been made.
It would be nice if the size of the bonus made staff pleasantly surprised,but I doubt it

The NL told him had to pay it, and the courts cleared him to be able to pay it ahead of WUP creditors because the club is insolvent.

That doesn't mean that he didn't have the money in his offshore account and was choosing not to pay it, as opposed to the less morally bankrupt notion that he couldn't afford to pay it.

No when the club had all there assets frozen They was not able to access any money Ron had to go cap in hand to get the courts to unfreeze moneys to make the payments to save the club from going under So its the courts we have to thank. As we can now start the season. And hopefully he will pay the money owed to the Hmrc And sod off .
