Well!!!! I rather enjoyed that today

I came away in such a good mood and with such a big smile on my face.
This was just what we needed.
Ladies & Gentleman - we have a team here, a team that all work together

I think the result says everything that needs to be said and let’s all just enjoy the moment.

I have not seen a more composed, relaxed, motivated and goalscoring team in so long. What a performance today, the football we played and chances we took were on top. What a first game for the consortium to come and watch. We keep pushing, UTB.

Brooklyn 2 years off according to the Billericay manager… The lad added loads to our game. He was a big target who was able to attack corners and set pieces, something Kensdale & Hobson never seemed to master.

He was also pivotal in the first goal, distracting the keeper to allow Kanu (I think from memory).

Apart from that, wow, Husin, Bridge, GSM all stand outs.

Timlin’s interview at half time was great and interesting as well.

Who would have imagined we would not miss Cav Miley in that midfield today against a decent Solihull team. What a performance.

I wasn’t there today. Whilst I appreciate Miley’s attributes, did not having him in midfield loosen us up a little?

Southend Utd rattle home 5 goals and poor old Harry Cardwell wasn't amongst the scorers. If you have been told before the game that we would win 5-0 you would have backed Harry to get at least one goal. Its a funny old game ain't it?

Think you’re half asleep mate. He said he has 3 for them - as in Charlton - before he joined us. So the original post was spot on that it’s surprising Charlton let him go but their loss is our gain.

Wrong!! - what the original poster actually said (post #2) was "That said, you're never going to see an easier hat-trick!" even saying in which manner each goal was scored.

Like I said (I was correct) Kanu actually scored 4

A little stat.

We've not got 5 at home in the league for sixteen years since QPR. We have not had a player get four since 1985.

Yeah I saw that Richard Cadette game not the Brett Angel one though (against Aldershot,IIRC),

Just watched ShrimpersTV video of the game. Kanu's movement for his 4th goal is brilliant. The guy is such an intelligent player
Oh and Husin's goal just gets better and better every time I watch it

In previous seasons Roots Hall used to be a place where the players seemed to dread playing. They were booed at HT if they weren't winning. Certain players were picked on by the fans etc.

However, the genuine shrmpers fans have stood by this management team and done everything they possbily can to keep this wonderful football club alive. This season they've backed the team from start to finish in big numbers, home and away.

I think that small squad of players and the management team feel the passion at the Hall now and are desperate to repay our love for the club.

Thank you everyone ! Let's just get that rat out, and take this club where it deserves to be
