What a GAME! A real F.A Cup tie.

Well i wasn't there due to personal issues (Typical of me to miss it ) but it sounded like we really gave it a go and only lost in the last minutes.. In all honesty none of us thought we would win, it was a free bat and all the players were brilliant, proud of them all.

They are two division's above us but was there that much difference between the teams, to lose to them is no great shame, we certainly had our chances to beat them and had more of the game IMO.

Oh well back to winning the league.

Over to you people.

Gutted to see us concede so late. I was looking forward to following the penalty shoot out. If we'd gone out on spit kicks at least it'd be based on whose nerves held out most.

That last minute winner makes the scoreline so non reflective of the 120 + minute performance.

I thought we were unlucky to go in a goal down at HT. Aside from two pieces of real skill - which shows the difference between Lg1 and NL - I thought we not only held our own, but looked the better team tbh.

We moved the ball well. I thought Bridge and Noor linked well on the left, and equally GSM played with plenty of energy and purpose down the right.

Second half we went off like a train & you’d be forgiven for thinking we were the league team. We battered them & got our deserved equaliser, not once but twice.

I thought we lost a bit of impetus up front when pep went off, but he seemed to have run his race.

If their first two goals were class, their third and fourth were anything but. Have to see them back, but I thought we gifted them. And the frustrating thing is, we had warnings leading up to the winner but still couldn’t see the game out.

Brilliant atmosphere inside RH, well done to W Block especially, but everyone played their part today.

We lost, but I’m just as proud of those players as I would have been with a win.

Quick word on Charlton fans, there’s a reason they’re known in certain circles as trainspotters and anoraks. Odd bunch.

Excellent advert for cup football, just the wrong result. Super entertaining game though.

We did ourselves proud.

Absolutely nothing between the two teams, and I actually thought we shaved it on general play. We certainly didn't deserve that at the end, but unfortunately supported my view that Collin is a bit of a weak link.

Hopefully will be good fuel going forwards, that we were able to match a good League 1 team in that fashion.

My only question is why can’t we bring that attacking intent to our league games.

Top effort today and on balance of play deserved to win but Charlton had that added quality in those crucial moments.

They also started targeting Collin and got their just rewards. With a Steve Arnold in goal or someone equally commanding that doesn’t happen.

I thought we were good today but Charlton were quite poor for L1 IMO.
3 goals from targeting the far post.
I so want Colin to succeed but he gives me no confidence.
Didn't want to come for the crosses.
I think Waldron will help our cause and despite Morton playing well recently, Cav is a better player.
So much improvement off the pitch, let's just push on with confidence on it.
Think we may need another season , but that's two home games now that I've enjoyed our attitude and performance.

I think we always play better against real teams that play football rather than try to kick the **** out of us or close the game down at every opportunity or stiffle any game. We are a good team as it showed today when we play better sides. That is the main problem with the league we are in and why it is so hard to get out of it.
