What the hell is changing the keeper going to do??
Stop conceding so many goals perhaps? Morris has made a few clangers, I said some weeks back after the penalty shoot out v Gillingham in the JPT that Evans hsould be given a chance.

TBH I suppose Morris is shaky and nervous having the likes of Prosser, Mohsni and old man Coughlan in front of him

Just to clarify, was in and around the tunnel area before the match with the POTM and queried the team line up when I heard those named, I was told that it was a 5-3-2 starting with two wing backs, so not a 3-5-2 as some are saying.

From the OS: "...The Blues boss has opted to line-up in a 3-5-2 formation with Prosser partnering Graham Coughlan and Chris Barker in defence....."

This would be the OS that keeps calling Mark Phillips "Matt" Phillips?

Lack of passion , now where have I heard that before ? Oh yes, last year when the previous players were not getting paid.

Anyone know if Martin is up to his old tricks again ?

I'm guessing you're not his biggest fan but surely you can't be advocating this. It would be much safer for him to use his feet to tackle :dim:

Its hard to remember what you wrote after copius amounts of kronenberg, all to try and stop the overiding gloom of blues performance yesterday waving over me........I wont say anymore as my head is speaking for its self!

when your having abit of role play with the old lady, do you get her to stick on a strap on and pretend she is Anthoney Grant??

actually I agree with you he was still looking the best southend player

Not sure if this is actually aimed at me, but if it is, I did suggest role play and pretending to be you but she said theres no point, she already has a ****, why would she need another.

Thanks for your comment about Grant being Southend's best player tho.

G

for my info i know we are in real trouble with ron martin, once he sells
root hall he will be off with his cash
and we will be left with a ground to finish.
when will you lot sticking up for martin wake up and see.

Sturrock got it wrong today not Martin.

Would people have been singing Martin Out if we were winning? Of course not, its just childish and embarrassing.

morris - 6 Looked okay for most of the game, but seemed to be at fault for the 2nd goal, wasn't helped by the rest of the team
herd - 6 Didn't impress as much as I'm sure everyone was hoping
coughlan - 6
barker - 6
prosser - 5
clohessy - 6 Probably the best of the defence but only because he went forward a bit.
grant - 6 Tried a few shots which on another day may have been good enough but really wasn't up to his normal standards
soares - 5 After hearing he'd played well the last couple of away games was hoping for much more.
timlin - 7 only deserved the 7 as on a couple of occasions he chased the ball and got a couple blocks in. (maybe a little generous though)
paterson - 5 Another disappointment
fairhurst - After this performance I can't wait to have Sturrock jnr. back!!

hall - 7.5 Might have been more because we changed formation but thought his introduction sparked some form of attacking play
crawford - 6 Came on and gave more then Pato and Fairhurst, but still didn't cause any trouble, however when you are short and being given the delivery he got would have no chance unless playing against an under 11 side
jarvis - 6 He must be wondering why he bothered coming here, but if he was given a few starts might actually be better.

Not sure what Sturrock was thinking, very negative approach to a home game and pretty much killed the atmosphere from the beginning

TBV - 4 Nothing to get the crowd going I'm afraid and feel Sturrock needs to be a lot more positive at home!

Are you for real!!!! 4 pts from play offs, do you really think we are going up. I would guess that you must be 16 or 17 years old and have not really seen the blues through the up and down days. This is the worst league we have ever played in my opion and we look pony. I love the fact that you see all the best in the club but please get real

LOL!
Wait a minute did you actually read my post?
Yes I'm 'FOR REAL' !
Yes I think we will be in the playoffs this season.
I'm not 16 my good friend, trust be I have seen the **** times this is my 12th season ticket.
This league isn't different to when we went up in the playoffs from this league, It isn't the worst standard.
I don't only see the best mate.

Allegedly we might not be extending Timlin's loan due to lack of funds.

There's nothing alleged about it, really... Sturrock said that he'd like to extend Timlin's loan but would have to talk to the chairman, which makes it pretty clear that it's a financial issue. We have a reasonably large squad and Timlin was brought in to cover Easton's injury, and we've compiled a range of forwards that need paying for too.

I'd hazard a guess that Timlin won't be returning, unless Herd or Spencer are shipped out.

I'm sure it says on the OS match report at the bottom, that Timlin's loan has been extended another month...

Send back jarvis.

Abject. System wrong, players did not like it, lack of belief and desire, cannot wait for the return of our missing players. Those that replaced them today did not want to be there. Restricted to long range efforts from Granty against a porous defence. Well beaten and deserved nothing! Still feel empty and demoralised, not much hope with this lot only glimmer, returning players and cannot play any worse, surely?

Morris 5 - poor second half, at fault for second goal, lack of size showed
Clohessy 6 - One of our better players
Coughlan 5.5 Struggled with system, resorted to hoofing long balls to the smallest strike quartet ever
Barker 6 - Solid and dependable
Prosser 4 - At fault for first goal, lost Donaldson and looked shaky all afternoon
Herd 4.5 - Did not know whether to play left back or left wing and was caught in the middle, never tight to any attacker, chasing shadows half heartedly all day.
Grant 6 - Tried his best to score from anywhere, not as influential as normal
Timlin 6.5 - MOTM, nice touches and tried to get us going, quieter in the second half
Soares 6 - A few runs, never beat a man, balls in to area, always blocked.
Fairhurst 5 - Did not look too interested.
Paterson 4.5 - Extremely disappointed, did not want to be there.

Hall 6 - A trier, no impact though
Crawford 6 - Ditto Hall
Jarvis 5.5 - Not up to it, might aswell return to Cardiff.

Indeed it does, which is good news.

And I'd much rather send Fairhurst back than Jarvis... I just can't see what he offers.

Send them both back - they are no better than Spencer on what I've seen so far!

We need someone in midfield better trhan Timlin to help Grant - at the moment with the (lack of ) quality passes to the front men then the only player who could play is Corr -hate to say it but based on what we've got in the rest of the Team someone like Bas Savage is more suited to us than Jarvis of Fairhurst.

By the way - listen to Sturrock's interview and he says how hard it is for under 20's to perform straight away - forgive me if I am wrong Mr Sturrock, but did you not sign these two young players under 20??!!
