4 losses out of 4 is just not acceptable!!!!

I dont get it, has Brown lost the dressing room already? Are we a 1 man team (laird)? where our first three wins against the 3 other teams we will be battling relegation with?

Got to stop the rot.

I predict a drastic shift in the prediction league forecasts for us......people rapidly moving from decisions made by the heart, to ones made by the head. In the end the game should have been predictable with Scunthorpe being a tight unit not scoring many but not giving many away. In reality 0-0 looked the likely result until Coker gifted them a goal. What was perhaps most worrying was the way our heads then went down following the goal and the fact that we appeared to show little urgency or fight to get back into the game.

Lets face it we are missing Cresswell, Clohessy, Tomlin and Britt. Probably our 4 best players last season and their replacements (where they have been replaced) are nowhere as good.

Atkinson 8
Leonard, Phillips, thompson, Bentley 6
The rest 5

2 players playing in the hole and everytime the ball goes flashing across the box the manager has his hands on his head. 70 minutes it took to bring on the answer and by then the wide players were either knackered or straker

for me atkinson 8 worked so hard freddy 7 also worked hard won lots of headers.
everyone else 6 we wernt that bad !!

Can't remember a centre midfielder making a run past the strikers once tonight, actually thought Woodrow held the ball up pretty well.

It wasn't good. No one comes out of that with much credit. Scunthorpe, organised, but nothing special proved to be too good enough. Too many wrong decisions, far too many passes to nobody, playing far too deep, playing in front of Scunthorpe's defence but with little or no penetration, ANOTHER goal gifted to the opposition and worst of all the collective head dropping and shrugging of shoulders when we went behind.

The early season optimism has seems a long time ago.

Thought we may have done OK in the 2nd half, as we were playing well until their goal.Youngster up front has failed to impress again IMO, think Corr should start next week. Thompson was also poor at the back.Their number 10 was a w***** who wasted every freekick they had. 4 losses on the trot. Starting to get worried.

Same old story really.

we weren't that bad - in fact, in the first half, we were the better team and looked bright, and up for the fight, and should have gone in at the break in front.

Second half was going nowhere - Scunthorpe could have played all night and not scored, until we yet again, pressed the self-destruct button.

Like last week, as soon as we concede, the game is as good as up - we lost all heart and all fight from that point onwards and never looked like getting back in the game.

It's too easy to blame those who have left the club, and the embargo, for this defeat. We conceded an inexplicable goal (only Coker will know what he was trying to do!) and had absolutely no cutting edge up front... BUT

the 11 players out there tonight are good enough to win a game of football against a side like Scunthorpe.

I have said this a couple of times now, but my one fear when Brown took over was his inability to turn a bad run of form around, and it is happening all over again here. Plenty of passion and enthusiasm from him on the sidelines, but absolutely none of that reflected in the performance when we went a goal down.

The high tempo and high energy performances which saw us win our first three games have disappeared and although the standard of football we're trying to play is half decent, the tempo has dropped right off.

We absolutely need to pinch a win from somewhere and quick as otherwise this is going to turn in to a real problem.

Well said .

Wasnt a terrible performance, it was heading for a mediocre goal less draw and we gifted them the win again.

Need to play better than that and create more chances and 4 losses in a row is serious now.

I have to agree. I didn't think we played THAT bad to be honest certainly not in the first half anyway. We had no-one that could put the ball away tonight. Scunthorpe was gifted a goal which came from a mistake, like last week with Prosser. It was also quite a miserable to night to play on a very wet surface.
On the plus side well done Freddy on taking the captain role tonight.
