There was an article on p4 of the Echo on Tuesday. Seems he fell headfirst and was initially in intensive care. But his condition was described as stable.

Isn't there a wall that he'd climbed over/onto? Surely building a wall to keep people out is action enough to ensure the club's not responsible? If someone chooses to climb it, that's their choice. What's the club supposed to do, hire stewards to monitor anything that people could climb?!?

How? I respect Lee's best intentions, but this is what I said first off

I stand by my comments there and since. No-one should be that drunk at 5 o'clock or thereabouts that their judgement is that impaired. I expressed sympathy for the family, but still am more inclined to feel for those that do a fantastic job in clearing up after such incidents.

Why do you reckon that my viewpoint has changed? I've been consistent throughout. Drink is evil. If you can't handle it, don't drink it. That is beside the point that what he was doing was WRONG. It's like defending the people that broke into Tony Martin's house, if they weren't there doing wrong they wouldn't have been shot would they?

Why should somebody not be drunk at 5pm ??? who is anybody to judge what time of day somebody could be drunk?

Half of the ground are over the limit come 3pm kick off!!!

Regardless of drunk, or not drunk, at whatever time of any day, everyone has the right to equal non judge-mental treatment, do we withold treatment from smokers? over-weight people ?

The guy by the way is alive and out of danger, cant say more.

He is allowed whatever treatment he needs to get fit and well again.

Maybe once fit and well this incident will put him off trying to watch the game without paying and sitting in a dangerous and precarious position, putting himself in danger and others within the ground he could well have fallen onto.

As has been said by Fish, the area he was in is well protected by a wall I should imagine and by climbing it he has put himself and others at risk

As far as Health and Safety are concerned if that is what it takes to keep fans (drunk or sober) safe then that is what they would insist on.
