Hey Baby normally wouldn't be my cup of tea, but it did create a memorable moment at my wedding (memorable for other people you understand, for me the whole thing was memorable).
It was late, everyone was plastered and there was a very immediate danger of the birdie song being played - the DJ wasn't keen on the idea, neither was I, so he asked me what to play instead. The only cheerful floor filler I could think of that hadn't already been played yet was "that one they play at the footy after we score". Luckily the DJ understood my sub-karaoke rendition and did the honours.
The Pavlovian response amongst the predominantly Southend supporting wedding goers was a sight to behold - especially my Mum "I don't really do parties" bouncing around punching the air like Wayne Gray had just scored the winner against Brizzle - bought a tear to my eye...
