Poor argument. Im 22 and think the music is sh!t. I defy you to find anyone above the age of 16 that thinks its ‘cool’. Targeting the under 16’s is surely a minority.
Phew, for a moment there I thought I was too old to be 'down with it', but after these testimonies its clearly Mr twoholes who is too old to be cool.

*looks aghast*

They're girls....in hardly any clothes....and they're all pert and stuff.....

What's not to like?
From the distance between the West Stand and the half way line they look OK, but not stunning, but when you see them up close (like when they try to sell you half-time challenge tickets) they are a little overweight for ones so young and not particularly attractive. And certainly not like their model poses in the programme.

So, in summary, a bit like a Monet painting, alright from a distance but up closse a real mess. Does that explain it?

Ever seen any of the current "top models" without the airbrushing. Oddly enough they all look normal too. The acne will clear and the puppy fat will disappear.

Leave us perverts to our HT fantasies please. Auburn haired with the curvy bum cheeks please.

I love the way you can look around the stadium while they dance and see nothing but a sea of blank faces, chins wobbling in the wind and minds running through a glorious montage of activities, some still illegal in 17 states of America.

I think the best thing to do is take it all on face value. They're girls and they're dancing. Dancing for all of us.

Any further examination, as with all beautiful things, will always end in disappointment.

Liverpool changed those words to "Put your hands up for Dirk Kuyt" I read the other day... Superb...

I'd enjoy the Blue Belles more if they gave us mini eye glasses under our seats like they do at the Opera...

Yeah, like you spend your team looking round the stadium whilst they are on.

Several pairs of binoculars are on show in the SU at half time.

I can't remember when we first noticed this, but a couple of seasons back there was a guy who went to the home games with his son (who looked about 6/7) and spent HT ignoring his kid in order to gawk at the BB's through binoculars... top quality parenting

i love the song being played, ............................. because it means we have scored a goal. i would prefer to hear it 3 or 4 times a match !!!!!!!!

The crowd edit version of Zombie Nation by Kernkraft400 was played when we scored quite a while ago now as was 'one step beyond' and a few others. They were in the days of a cr*p speaker system, now you can actually hear the music.
Hey Baby has been played since 2003-2004 season and has been continued purely because people do still chant and clap along to it. To be honest i dont particlualy like it and i never have but it is still effective and looks good when the whole east stand sing along. 'Put your hands up' wasnt a choice by the players but is a song chosen because its upbeat and because it is a 'tune'!

If anyone has any songs that they seriously think might work then pm me or reply on here. Cant gaurantee anything but still will be considered.

When some clubs sing along to the music at some stadiums it really makes my hairs on my neck stand up, i would love to create that at roots hall but the problem is what song and then you gotta get people to sing (which is hard enough most of the time).

any suggestions then go for it?

Like I said before zombie nation was good, especially with a decent sound system now. Even one step beyond was a good one to have. Anything but hey baby really its so cheesy!

Made West Brom on Saturday, what a game!

After JCR, a player that receives so many mixed opinions, scored his first ever goal for southend (and what a goal!) all I wanted to do is sing at the top of my voice his song, show him that we do appreciate him.

BUT…

Instead im sing… ‘ooh aah I wanna know if you’ll be my girl’

What the f%ck is all about that about?! How long has that been going on??? Don’t remember some cheesy pop song coming on every we scored last season. Think it sounds pathetic, 10,000 of us all in unison singing ‘ooh aah I wanna know if you’ll be my girl’. What a load of bollox. Just let the crowd sing, I blame the Americans, im sure ‘score music’ has stemmed from them.

Even heard it on MOTD, think it was Wigan. Really, really poor. Please, SUFC, let us not follow this sad suit.

Try:

Oooo JCR, I wana knoooooooow, howd you score that goal!!

Same here. I like it when the announcer guy, starts off the Eastwood chant when he scores, gets the whole stadium singing it in unison. Maybe we should get different songs for each player and then play it when they score, would be more interesing than HEY BABY OOOOOOH AAAAAH! Iwanna knoooooww, if u'll be my galll

would love to if possible but its impossible to line up 10 songs...theres lots of players to cater for!

It cant be that hard surely. I can see it may pose a problem but surely there are harder problems we have overcame?

How many times do I have to say it on here before someone listens?

Play 'Blue' by Moyet. It is about us and sung by a true chart topping shrimper.

Better still get her to come in and sing it.

Surely it is not difficult. If it is what is the problem? Almost nothing is insurmountable. Some more belief both on and off the pitch is required.

I do not have the connections to sort this...whoever you are you seem to be claiming you have some influence. So over to you.

My claims on SZ for this in the past have received great support but no action. I even got my suggestion printed in the prog in October but still no joy.

For ?&$% sake. Sort it. Please.
