This is what I am on about. What’s being sung now. Great to reminisce as well.
 
Walking through Gillingham 50 years ago this April with half a dozen Leigh Boys ' most Southend were already in the Rainham End at Gillinghams ground' . Walking towards The Brittania pub all we could hear was 'We are the old North Bank We are the old North Bank' . Looking through the window was a Southend Legend sitting on a bar stool surrounded by a bout a dozen of his old crew . Who within an hour would be walking into all the Gillingham and making them run . Always remember that old song .

The Barry Fry Circus song was very catchy, BUT very out of date now, obviously needs a major reboot and a wordsmiths talent, as, it could be, maybe, good.
A circus is a good thing, entertaining etc so hasn't got to be negative.

E.g."There's a circus in the town, in the town, Kevin Meyer wears the crown"

This has been attempted a few times with limited success but I hope it has its day again..
 
Something good and Glad all over are not original football chants. We need an anthem that is original, good and easy lyrics for the old timers ( Cricko and very OBL)

Something like Winds of Change - Scorpions
Or maybe It’s My Life - Bon Jovi
