It is funny though, how whenever I've seen Franno at away games this season he's always seemed to do ok, yet put him back in front of the hypercritical Roots Hall crowd and suddenly things go pear shaped. Maybe some people should be looking to their conduct and their consciences as being the root cause of his problems.

To be honest you have no right to tell other people anything. I don't ever slag players off loudly, I might mutter to myself when Francis yet again cocks up a free kick/corner or Barrett is yet again out of position but if you ever said anything to me about shouting you would get at least a mouthful back if not some proper abuse.

Same as the people who leave early, I don't agree with it, i think it is wrong but they pay their money and they are well within their rights to do it without abuse from anyone else.

Exactly the way I see it, yes, I'll tut when someone cocks something up AGAIN, but it's far better then to shout encouragement over the tops of those dissenters.

Matter of opinion, obviously. He didn't play well today, but HAS been pretty good, I'm not shallow enough to pass judgement quite so harshly.

Obviously Francis can play though, otherwise he wouldn't be playing for a promotion (loosley) chasing team would he? If he couldn't play then why's he able to hold down a job as a professional footballer. Granted i have been frustrated with him this season but he does have his good games and in general he's okay.

My recollection was that he was signed to play in the championship also.
Dread to think how poor he might have looked had we retained championship status considering his overall contribution in league 1.

We didnt retain our championship status due to a total lack of investment from the top. Francis was one of the only players to come out of that season with any credibility!

I am not discussing why we went down.
I am saying that I expect more from a player signed as championship material.

I share your frustration young Dan/Dave, there are huge numbers of supporters who get on the players' backs the second a pass goes astray, it's quite ridiculous and we've had this discussion so many times - ENCOURAGE not DISCOURAGE!
