Totally inaccurate, but a popular misconception
There biggest fan base is Singapore, Japan and Thailand.
Whilst the fanbase is large there, again totally inaccurate and wholly unsubstantiated.

Funnily enough, this statment could also lend itself exceptionally well to the Gooner Scumbags.

P.S Durera, i always thought you was a big Arsenal fan ?

In some ways I can understand that, having actually lived in North London, and actually seeing more the team play more times than you... However the mere thought of me being an A*****l fan has delayed this post whilst being violently sick.

I have family as misguided as you - but having seen the ******* supporters in action (not my family - like you they don't actually go to many games (if any)), I can safely say that 'detest' is too gentle a word to describe my feelings for the Gooner Scumbags; but my thanks to you for believing such an upsetting idea.

There are alot more City fans than United fans in Manchester.
No there are not!
BTW, here is a study of it that I found

Man U

Page three states

Club No of season ticket holders in
Manchester Postal Area

City 6678
United 7808

Not conclusive proof, I'll admit, but enough, surely....

Both, and you can through in the weegys as well!

FM, again you have posted without thinking.
I was born in Salford Manchester and grew up with Man United as my team My brother worked at Old Trafford my Mum went out with one of the players who died in the plane crash.
My whole family have strong ties to the club.
I moved down south when I was 20 I played local football for 15 years and it is only in the last few seasons that I have started to support Sothend United my Local Team.
Please Please don't refer to all Man U fans as to**ers I understand you have the right to express your opinion but if you insist on taking this line I can only assume you are calling me a to**er.
If you think what happened at Yeovil was bad.............

No it's not, If this study was taken last year i.e Man City at Maine Road and not COM Stadium then it helps to demonstrate what im saying.

Old Trafford holds 68,000
Maine Road 36,000
COM Stadium 46,000

I always thought it was well known that most people supported City in Manchester.

Point Taken, and i do not understand why some sections make sick jokes about the Munich AD R.I.P that is not football but a tragedy.

Point taken, in my experence a great number of Man U fans are to**ers.

cr*p - its a misinterpretation of statistics because Man Utd have more supporters than Man City!

Yes, Man Utd have more outside Manchester, but as I am aware it is fairly evenly split in Manchester, with the city of Manchester supporting City and the Suburbs supporting United.

Ie (figures are purely for example) Man City have 10 million fans worldwide - 3 mil live in manchetser, ie 30%

Man Utd have 100 million fans worldwide - 4 mil live in Manchester ie 4%

These figures are then manipulated to make it look like there are more City fans in Manchester....

No- it's an old urban myth, like the so-called wing-half position.

Again, cr*p.

Change it to, 'the majority of Man Utd fans I (ie you, FM) know are to**ers' and it'd be more accurate....

Not sure it's a fact, I just prefer to believe it myself to further justify my dislike of Utd.
What is totally true is that Utd draw in to**ers from all over the UK, and beyond to support them, But you can say much the same of all the big teams in the EPL.
Just to prove the point I was at Chelski several weeks ago and there were coaches from Belgium, Switzerland and several other European countries waiting to take fans (who clearly weren't cockneys or even English) back home.
It's big business and all the big clubs are looking to widen their fan bases. Where you're from is irrelevant these days, it's how much you have in your pockets that counts!
