However, ManUre, Celtic, Rangers, Liverpool, Leeds and even the Geordie Muthaf***ers have all received my armchair support, and would do in the Champions League, unless of course they come up against Roma!
Used to go to Chelsea at lot in the past. Still have a lot of affection for them. Arsenal I also like to see do well being Southern. I despise the scousers so couldn't cheer them, same goes for United but I especially loathe Celtic. I hate those IRA supporting, tricolor waving, weegy scumbags with a passion. Scum of the earth in my eyes (and I'm a catholic). No great love for the Huns either they're bigots.

I just hope that Celtic do well, cos they deserve to, in my eyes

We'll have to disagree about that statement mate. Celtic deserve to be expelled from the Scottish league because their fans clearly don't have any affinity with Scotland. Note that in Seville there were next to no Scottish flags present!

Damn you've started me off on one! I HATE Celtic & the RoI

Don't dislike the Irish people just the team!
I'll try and qualify my dislike. Until Jack Charlton came along football has never been that big in Ireland. It was traditionally about 4th or 5th in popularity after the horseracing, gaelic sports & rugby. The ROI team went from being a poorly supported team with no pedigree to being an overnight success with a huge following. Why did these people suddenly latch onto football and why don't they correspondingly support their own clubs in Ireland (Bohemians, St Paddys etc) who to this day have poor support. What incenses me even more is Irish people supporting English / Scottish clubs. That's ridiculous. It's the equivalent of me deciding to support Rotterdam or Werder Bremen.

Oh and I've never forgiven them for beating us in Euro 88!

PS don't tell anyone but there's plenty of Irish ancestry in my family

I have even been known to cheer on the Germans when they face Man U....
Top man Leeboy, couldn't have put it better myself, always think they are victimised and most of manchester doesnt like the club. There biggest fan base is Singapore, Japan and Thailand. I hate the bastards even more than Spurs fans and that is saying something.

Fergie, Don't get me started on that c**t, selfish, anoying and downright evil ******* of a man. the f**ker just wont resign. ARGHH !

As for the fans they tend to be to**ers but seem to take pleasure in reminding everyone of there success and how big they are, until you ask them how they come about supporting manure. they go silent then !

Rant Over !

FM.

P.S Durera, i always thought you was a big Arsenal fan ?

you talk b******s most of the time, but presenting this as fact is just ridiculous.

Have to agree leeboy they make more in duvet sale covers a year than a 3rd div do full stop !

Am I the only one swooning in disbelief at FM's comments?!

On a corporate level, if there's one club that Arsenal would give their collective left gonad to emulate, it's Man U. Do you not think that in building a huge stadium, having (for a while) a Japanese sponsor and a former J-League manager tends to suggest, just a tad, that Arsenal would love to emulate Man U's global brand success?

After all, if it were simply about the football on a national level, they wouldn't be so obsessed about moving out of Highbury, and would instead be ploughing money into developing a youth squad (which Wenger has done so much to dismantle - whither Upson and Pennant, one must ask...) and signing players to cement their place in the Premiership.

Your one-eyed devotion does you credit as a fan, Luke; but does you no favours whatsoever in terms of your ability to provide objective commentary on Arsenal's position within English and indeed world football.

At least Ferguson instituted a youth system which provided the backbone of the England team (Beckham, Scholes, Butt, Neville... and in the future Brown) as well as bought British (notably, Ferdinand) - we can thank him for that. We can thank Wenger for nothing on that front - all he does is buy French (Campbell was a jammy freebie, a north London theft) and, with the excpetion of Ashley Cole, refuse to encourage his English talent (Upson, Taylor, Pennant) at the club.

To be honest, whilst it's nice to see British clubs do well in Europe, I can't say I'm overly fussed whether they win or lose. They have nothing to do with me and my love of Southend United.

What do you mean first ENGLISH team.
Arsenal aren't an English team.

How can you be English when English isn't even the first language in the dressing room?
Your manager is French. Your best players - Henry and Viera -are French. Even your journeyman players - Wiltord, Cygan etc are French.

How many English players are there at Highbury? You've Cole and Campbell (when not suspended). Parlour can't get into the side.
You've try to ruin the career of every promising young England player you could get your hands on - Richard Wright, Matthew Upson, Jermaine Pennant, Francis Jeffers. They all got frustrated at being behind the French contingent at Arsenal, when they should have been forming the back-bone of the future England team. David Dein at the FA has also done his best to hinder English football.

I mean what is it coming to when the Republic of Ireland international team is more English than a supposed 'English' club-side. When Arsenal relocate I expect this time it won't just be across the River Thames but will be across the Channel.
I for one won't miss them.
