I will never know how that game only finished 1-0, not too downhearted after the second half performance but wasn't good enough in the first.

We could have played until midnight and not scored. The Gills goal led a very charmed life. Every shot we had was blocked. One of those games much like Accrington. Fate was against us today

First half was pretty awful. Gills looked like they had played two less games than us and won all the 50 50 balls.
On the second half performance we deserved a point from the game but just was not to be.

Gave ourselves too much to do yet again... conceding the first goal is killing us this season.

Getting frustrated with seeing us go behind and then have to watch the opposition time waste the entire match :angry::angry:

We have just come off the back of a 14 game unbeaten run. On that form we are promotion contenders. Let's not get too negative just yet

Timlin produced one of the of the poorest displays i have seen from a Southend player for a long time, he even started shouting at others for his pathetic touches on the ball. Will Sturrock drop one of his bum boys? I doubt it......just like last season

Wouldn't go as far as saying the above, but agree he was very poor. I like Timlin and when he plays the team plays. One bad note on him is that when he does tend to come back into the side from injury/suspension....he keeps it basic with his energy and appetite and plays really well. After a while, it's almost like he gets complacent and becomes intent of long range passing. But as you said, with Laird (loan ended) and Tamika (returning to Millwall) he is almost un-dropable.

He actually did this after his initial loan spell - he signed permanently and dipped in his performances.
