Tam confirmed out for Saturday.I wonder if Britt's been refused permission to play as well?

Freddy on for Britt.

Of course Tam is. Today is his last game for us and he is going back to Millwall.

0-1 FT

We made a better first of it in the second half but it was very disappointing to concede another early goal. We've played quite a few games in a short space of time so let's hope this isn't the start of an extended poor run...

Just as well we've got a couple of cup games coming up. We can either regain our confidence, or get a couple more defeats out of our system before hopefully starting on another winning run away to Exeter City. However, we do need the cash from the cup games......

Reminds me of last season's 17 match unbeaten run from September to early December, which was followed by four straight defeats........ and we know how last season ended up....

And we could still be on an unbeaten run, yet only have 4 points to show for it. Let's just hope they can now re-group and storm the rest of this season.

Felt that coming a mile off I'm afraid. The Burton loss has done something bad to mentality. All that talk from players, managers and fans about a good response and about how the response to that defeat will be telling - well it told me all I needed to know! Very poor response, drained confidence and jadedness. Made a go of it second half but there was zero cutting edge and Gills shut up shop. That's all the hard work of the back-to-back 3-0 victories undone and we have slipped further behind the top 3 and lost some of the ground we'd done so well to make up. That's what makes it so depressing. Whilst I hope that there is a bounceback from two straight defeats, I fear that this is the start of an inconsistent second half of the season, just like last season, which will probably see us finish in mid-table since we don't have the cushion that we had last season when the bad run started.
