"Shall we fill this ground for you?"

incredible, you have all the above, now all you need is a FOOTBALL PITCH !

ha ha - touche! - we did have until the snow, and then the game against Norwich when it was still waterlogged - completely ruined it - the game just after Christmas against Southampton was spot on.

No chance of it getting significantly better between now and the end of season so at least you won't have to suffer it again (unless you creep into play-offs perhaps?)

Play-offs? :nope:

Our attendance ? What about the pitiful turnout from the south of the county ? Very poor, especially when you consider that we took about 700 more to your place on a day when there were no trains.

Are you out of your mind you dirty tramp. the away end at roots hall was not even a sell out. There was chunks of seats empty everywere. Do you honestly belive that you had 700 more fans then we took??? or is it it the fact your so disillusioned with your mathematics because you never attended school you was at home to busy fingering your sister.

That's harsh - he wasn't fingering his sister - I did, and at the time I couldn't understand why her carer was getting so uptight but upon reflection i prob should have taken her out of the wheelchair and removed her tights first. - Think it was the first time her toe's had moved in years!

I just threw up :puke

You Shrimpers seem to think there was two pitches. We had to adjust too. Funny thing is, we're rubibsh on rubbish pitches. Exeter, Carlisle, Preston away, Norwich - we just can't adjust. We played long ball yesterday because we knew the pitch was *****. And it worked.

'we won because the pitch was awful'

no, we won because we were better than you. You play lovely sideways football and passed it through our midfield but that was about it.

As for the crowd - yes it was poor but why taunt us about it? We know we have ***** crowds. Enjoy your 5,000's against Torquay, Burton and Barnet. We'll enjoy getting our 8,000's against Sheffield United, Middlesborough and Watford.

Also have you not considered that maybe - just maybe - people aren't really bothered about Southend this season? Firstly we're streets ahead of you. Secondly we've had other rivalries to contend with. Thirdly, I think people are more bothered about getting promoted rather than some two-bob club from the arsehole of our fine county.

Is it me or, would 8,000 be pretty **** against that lot? We had an average of 8,000 in League One last year.

To be fair, I thought that was a pretty good crowd for Colchester last night. Their home average crowd so far this season is 5,700 and ours is 8,000. They might be lucky to get the average up to 6,000 by the end of the season & ours will drop to maybe 7,600.

As for Colchester expanding the ground, they may well fill in the corners one day to bring capacity upto 12,500. But I doubt they will ever build a second tier for an 18,000 capacity.

To be honest, Colchester didn't have to adjust, they knew exactly what to expect. No right minded full time pro footballer would expect to go to a ground and face what our boys did unless they were drawn against non league opposition in the FA Cup when there's a reasonable expectation of crap pitches! It was truly abysmal and I honestly think the club would be well within their rights to make an official protest, of course, Sammy and Elvis might argue that a better pitch might not have suited their game play quite so well.......!

There's only ONE team in Essex... The mighty ewe's!! :support:1-2 2-0

Never mind Shrimps, you'll have a better chance with your Essex derby against the Daggers next season.:whistling:

The Daggers would be a much better derby than you scumbags. Maybe even a bigger crowd?. Colchester have to be the most boreing team to sopport. Go and finish noshing off your sister.
