Did anyone see the man who got his ankle caught under a car on saturday? It happened after the game on shekespeare drive just outside the entrance to the west stand. Sounded like he was in some pain, just wondered if anyone knew how it happened and if he was ok...

Did he bear an uncanny resemblance to Brian Harvey.....?

an ambulance appeared as we left but i got the feeling that it was something that had happened inside the ground rather than outside. maybe two different things?

Well, generally speaking, you have 1ton+ roll onto your ankle, it's gonna bloody hurt! :thump:

Maybe MtS, but alas, us mere Muggles must soldier through the pain.

Where's he gone to anyway? Haven't seen him all week.

I was there at the time, it was impossible to tell if the car went over the guys ankle or not. The car was travelling 2/3 mph and the old gentleman was walking on the left of the car so his right side was next to the car, how he managed to run over his left foot is a bit of a mystery if he did at all. My thought after the event was that his ankle went from under him. The old gentleman seemed fine though, but of pain in his ankle and nothing else wrong fortunately. He was 92.

trying to out do me was he then?
Back in 91 v Blackburn on Guy Fawlkes night I got hit by a woman driver, sorry women, walking from the Railway Pub to the ground, not drunk I hasten to add. My fault, sort of, I placed my right leg into the road to avoid an oncoming group of people & this woman decided she wanted to all but mount the curb & smashed my leg/ankle to pieces, yes it does hurt beleive me. 3 weeks in Southend Hospital & 9 months off work. If anyone remembers it & was there thanks for all your help at the time, can't remember peoples names from back then but it did get a mention in the programme, wow, what a claim to fame!!!!

Huh? It wasn't me... I was cooker dinner for the in-laws on Saturday.

And where am I? Mostly in the office, working. An economic downturn usually means more work for litigators... certainly does in my case.

I saw this on Saturday aswell. A guy in a Mazda mx5 had stopped and some old fella was lying on the ground in agony holding onto his ankle.
