Breaking News Season Tickets - now on sale

Renewed and moved to North bank, out of interest I don't remember wether I clicked collect or by email, I thought was by email but didn't actually receive the tickets? Did anyone else have this? Guess they can't send out the ticket until they know fixtures
They can send out the ticket before knowing the fixtures. It just gets loads to your account which will have a QR code on the actual physical ticket or the online ticket. I'd imagine they will wait until they have the tickets and make then ready for collection like they did last season. Then posting them out for those that didn't collect. Whats the point in sending out a physical season ticket that will come back to the very place it was sent out every time its required to be used.

I'll probably get a physical ticket. Something nostalgic about getting a physical ticket rather than an email loaded to a phone.

On another point I get that £420 may be quite a large chunk of cheese to pay out in one go, but if you think back to when Ron used to put his begging bowl out (Feb or March) 4 or 5 pay months have (or will have) passed. It may not be feasible for all but saving £100 each month would have paid for this (or at least the majority of it)

Whilst no option currently exists (unless people follow the guide by @Yorkshire Blue regarding a 0% credit card) to pay monthly if you take car insurance as an example. To pay monthly you pay roughly 10% more than if you paid annually. That could result in a monthly payment of around £38 with you paying £40 (mainly to the finance companies) for the privilege..

For those wanting to spread the payment out here’s how you do it yourself at a much cheaper price than Klarna

1. Apply for a credit card with an interest free offer for 12+months and set up a direct debit to pay the minimum each month. You can find offers here https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-0-credit-cards/

2. Open a regular savings account account
Saffron currently have one available where you can get 8% interest (max £50 per month), Nationwide have one at 6.5% (max £200 a month) but you can find more options here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6576962/the-top-regular-savers-discussion-thread/p1
You’ll need to pay in 1/12th of the cost each month (so £35 if you’re purchasing one adult ticket).

3. Wait for the credit card to arrive and then purchase the season ticket on your new credit card. Don’t use the credit card for anything else!

4. After 12 months if you’re putting in £35 a month into a regular saver you’ll have £420 in there (plus whatever interest you’ve earned). You can now use this to pay off your credit card in full. You’ll want to make sure you pay it off in full before the introductory offer expires so make a reminder on your phone to do so in good time.
Your true identity has been revealed, Martin Lewis.

Edit: you beat me to it, @Supershrimper

Very disappointing that so many under 8 season tickets were never used last season.
I have an under 8 season ticket for my grandson, and whilst it would be brilliant to bring him every home game, often there is a conflict with kids party 🥳, his parents taking him on holiday 🏖️, or simply the logistic getting him to the ground ⏰. So for last season I guess his ticket maybe 40% attendance and this season I have renewed for the £23, to be honest if it were more I would still renew for him knowing that he may not make every match but safe in the knowledge that if he is available then he will be next to me cheering on the blue boys 🏆⚽

If I leave my emergency services ID at home, do I get turned away each time? I hardly ever go to the ground direct from home and if it’s a case of weighing up the discount or avoiding the hassle of remembering it, I’d rather pay full price!!!

Yeah I'm quite shocked that almost 1 in 5 under 8s tickets were NEVER used! As someone else confirmed likely 'bought' so that the seat next to them would be empty - that's almost an anti fan, the club losing out on the opportunity to sell the seat to someone else. Be interesting to know how many u8s tickets were sold last year.

The way I see it £23 for an under 8 is good value for entertaining the kiddies! Or equally a good way to build character and educate them to the highs and lows of life and if nothing else a potential disciplinary or punishment tool for the little ankle biters! 😉😀

Absolutely, I actually think it's still quite cheap! Can't take a kid to the cinema or theatre for a quid (although by the time buy an adult ticket it's maybe on par for the former, but certainly not the latter).

Shame people have abused the free tickets though.

No.

I used my ID to get my emergency services discount when buying the season ticket last season, and never took my ID to the ground again and was never questioned at the turnstiles.

They need the ID to accredit your account as emergency services and that’s then done
