It doesn't benefit me though. It benefits people who don't come normally with a free ticket.

Would have been better to reward you with a free ticket for one of the cup games, although I suppose we could get drawn away in all the first rounds so that might not work (also owe the away club a percentage of takings so that would involve Ron parting with cash!)

I can see why some are not too happy, and certainly extending the "deadline" across the summer seems a bit daft. The extra tickets are good from my perspective as my dad, who is giving up his season ticket as he's moving away, will still be able to come along to a couple of matches foc.

I agree with this, well most of it.

I paid first week of the offer & now everyone will
get the same discount. As for the free tickets for mates, I don't see how that benefits me in any way whatsoever.

Why is everyone being so negative? Sell the tickets to mates for half price. Everyone wins, and you end up with almost a 12@ercent discount

I guess they feel like they have been shafted again.

I am not a season card holder, but if that was me fronting up the cash early on, only for the deadline to be extended indefinitely. And then be offered four tickets for mates (in an attempt to get more fans in, which is no bad thing, but it is no reward for its current ones) as recompense. I think I would feel shafted as well.

Stunts like this have been pulled for the last few seasons. And I think a lot of fans have either wised up to it and taken the "deadline" with a pinch of salt. Or more worrying, just haven't bothered renewing. I expect it has been a combination of both thus far, hence the extension.

so why doesn't my idea of selling tickets to mates for £10 thus giving a 11.5% discount for getting an early season ticket work?

Or put it another way, call it spin or whatever but at the end of the day the net effect is the same as saying
'Renew early and get £40 discount, and get 4 cheap tickets for mates at £10 each'. To me that sounds a great deal, and it is effectively what people are getting.

You cannot please everyone but personally I am happy with the deal . TBH I got my son his ticket (£75) and didn't make up my mind for myself. Had this deal been avaialable now It would defiantely have tipped me into getting a season ticket

I am sure some people could make a few quid selling those tickets. But I think a lot of people would struggle to give them away at the moment and may not want to charge a mate, for a ticket they got for nothing.

I reckon those that bought early would of prefered a free cup ticket for the JPT or Capital One Cup 1st round, or perhaps a money off voucher for the club shop to be honest.

You cant please everyone though as you rightly say.

being a season card holder was always a social thing for me, there used to be 7 of us, but now just 3! I suggest to encourage groups again do a deal where if you buy 5 togetehr, £1,000.00.

The day used to be about meeting up about 12, pub lunch, wander down to the ground, happy days!

what about the extra free tickets for mates? If I am reading it correctly you get 4 free tickets worth £80. OK this might not suit everyone, but for some it an excellent deal

£80 worth of free tickets is an even better deal for a concession who's only paid £220 and a fantastic deal for the juniors at £75 or £23 !!!

So my reward for being loyal and coughing up early to get a discount is actually no reward at all. It was bad enough when they extended the first deadline and now that deadline has effectively been extended again. Next year when they send me their begging letter, I mean my renewal form, in February I'll wipe my arse with it and send it back. At least they'll know what it's like to be treated like ****.

Sounds all self self self

Cant you see the club is trying to get more fans to sign up?

Football club should be what you can do for it rather then what you can take out of it.

Constructive James very constructive

Do you not think why the club is trying to do this?

Or is your only answer 'Jog On'? :hilarious:

Wow you're criticizing me for not being constructive??? I'll remind you of that next time you have a little rant about the football club. And I'll also remind you of the sanctimonious ******** you replied with earlier as well.

Have a nice day!:finger:
