All those who did renew their Season Cards before 10th April will receive two free tickets for their friends to come to two home league matches of their choice next season as we look to try and increase attendances at Roots Hall.

Nice touch...

Half-tempted to, but the price is putting me off and the social aspect that I had when I was a season ticket holder before has gone. Still technically got a student card, but doubt they will accept it!

You mean the embarassment ?
I know , but just keep it in another wallet so your friends don't see it or say you're holding it for a mate !

I don't wish to sound ungrateful but we are still the most expensive season card in the league by some distance. Personally I don't see that figure, frozen or not, as good value for money in any way.

how old do you have to be to have a junior ticket but go by your self? or dont the club care about these things?

Young Person is aged 17-20 and Junior is aged 16 or under on or before 1st August 2013.

It states in the terms that "children of 13 years of age or under must be accompanied by a responsible adult".

I wonder how bad the sales are to prompt this move?

I for one haven't bothered to renew yet - was thinking of just paying on a game by game basis next season, mainly due to the fact that as my son is now 17 the price hike from 1 adult + 1 child in the family stand to 1 adult + 1 young person is absolutely huge and made me think twice.

Although I may renew after the fixtures come out if it appears our other commitments won't necessitate us missing too many games.

Safe to say sales will be quite a bit down I think. Hopefully not enough to cause us anymore financial strife than we are used to.

So my reward for being loyal and coughing up early to get a discount is actually no reward at all. It was bad enough when they extended the first deadline and now that deadline has effectively been extended again. Next year when they send me their begging letter, I mean my renewal form, in February I'll wipe my arse with it and send it back. At least they'll know what it's like to be treated like ****.

what about the extra free tickets for mates? If I am reading it correctly you get 4 free tickets worth £80. OK this might not suit everyone, but for some it an excellent deal

I agree with this, well most of it.

I paid first week of the offer & now everyone will get the same discount. As for the free tickets for mates, I don't see how that benefits me in any way whatsoever.
