So after 3 straight defeats it's about time we bounced back!
Wont be an easy game at all tomorrow night but I think we'll nick a 2-1 win. Let's get the Hall!
Come on Southend.
UTB.

I havn't got a clue whats going to happen, I was confident we would win at Wycombe and against Morecombe and we lost them both. I'm hoping for a better performance but then again that's not going to be that hard after the rubbish on Saturday.

Lets hope to get back on track with a win!

Last time we lost at home on a Friday to Scunthorpe was back in 1966! Seems that everytime we play them on a Friday night at Roots Hall, the majority of the time we move leagues that season or the next!

2005/06 = 3-0 W (Promotion)
2004/05 = 0-0 D (Promotion)
2003/04 = 4-2 W (Promoted next season)
1989/90 = 0-0 D (Promotion)
1984/85 = 1-1 D
1983/84 = 1-1 D (Relegation)
1980/81 = 2-0 W (Promotion)
1977/78 = 2-0 W (Promotion)
1976/77 = 1-1 D (Promoted next season)
1970/71 = 2-2 D (Promoted next season)
1969/70 = 3-0 W
1965/66 = 0-1 L (Relegation)

Conclusions
Win or draw = possible promotion this season or not
Lose = relegation & England win the World Cup

Don't forget that 0-0 Cup game a few years back, when we lost the chance to play Chelsea, after getting knocked out in the replay. Not Drewe's finest hour.:nope:

Not got a clue. So working on the assumption that things must get better, I will say er, mm, 1 0 Southend, I think.

Head says it will be a draw but my heart says we will sneak a 2-1 over them. Have missed Friday night games !! i think the last one i went to was Cheltenham 4-0 Freddy's return during a loan period 2-3 seasons ago ?

Anyway we should see Barry start Friday we need his height up against towering centre backs

It seems to depend on what side turns up .....oh, and what side is selected.

I think Phiilpo Brownio has enough reason to try and change the team selection.

I think Scunthorpe have drawn 4 of their six games so far and only lost 1 ....... so, without using any logic at all, I predict that the game will not be a draw.

6,248 to see Southend scrape a narrow 2-0 win.
