Rumour has it guys that Ryan Cresswell may be joining us. Please see the following tweet from a radio sheffield sports reporter (Has very good links with our club and is usually correct)

"I hear Chesterfield are working hard to sign Ryan Creswell from Southend. Doubt we've seen the last of the departures too #CFC"

He has said he wants to stay with the club next year is fully committed but I suppose anything can happen in football and I guess you'll probably give a bit more money so he may join but I doubt he will tbh.

I wouldn’t have thought so as the club is looking to reduce expenditure. Given that he is still under contract with SUFC, I’m surprised to hear his name mentioned with us, but Paul Walker has very good contacts within our club and if he says we are trying to sign Cresswell – I’m inclined to believe him.

Well he could try to sign him, doesn't mean it will happen. Would be surprised why he would leave us to go to another league two sides. Expect him to be our captain next season.

Awesome first half of the season, indifferent second half, he never quite looked the same after that red card at Accrington.

He'll command a fee though as he is under contract, I wouldn't say no to £100k!

Like others say, he was awesome before xmas, then i think santa took his mojo, he is on twitter quite a lot saying he loves it down here & cant wait to get going for the new season.
