Very pleased with this signing, phillips and cresswell pairing at the back should be very solid. 3 signings in 2days....i need a lie down

From what PS has said on the OS, you got to think he thinks a massive amount of him and the glowing terms makes him look like a nailed on starter. Also notice he was captain (at some point) for Rotherham, so thats a good thing. Love signing captains from other teams

This is our best signing of the summer so far IMHO. I don't think he's always been fit for Rotherham hence he hasn't played as much there as maybe he should and would have done, but I think he was rated quite highly by their supporters. If he stays fit it's a great signing. Good height and strength, and not bad at the other end too!

i will second that, best signing yet

Today he has joined League 2 rivals Southend on a free transfer. with the blessing and praise of gaffer Steve Evans; "There is no doubt in my mind that Ryan has joined a good club and he will have a good season," Evans told themillers.co.uk
"I have great respect for their chairman Ron Martin and manager Paul Sturrock, so I know Ryan has made a good move. Ryan was one of our high earners and wasn't set to command the game time he probably would have wanted here, therefore Ryan and myself agreed he should look at other options." he added.

The Fat one.................a closet Shrimper!!!! :winking: A high earner...........he hsn't moved to us for the money then. :winking:

2-3 more I would like to see, a goalkeeper, Eastwood and a CM, I want a signing that's gonna make everyone optimistic again, Eastwood is that signing

I know nothing about him but on paper a 24 year old, tall, goal scoring centre back cannot be a bad thing and I think with both Barker and Phillips injury prone it makes sense.

Welcome.

Well, indeed - whilst I greatly welcome the addition of another central defender I do wonder why he has joined when Rotherham have a new ground and just as much chance of promotion as we do.

It might just be that he (Cresswell) and Evans just didn't get on - and if so then that is all well and good for us.

And do we have another contender for the captain's armband?

A few years ago we signed Garry Richards as the 3rd (1st choice) center back, then there was Pat Baldwin in the same role; neither was happy nor stayed. Now some one from Barks, MP and Mr Cresswell will spend most of the season on the bench; & will he be happy to do that? because a fit MP and Barks wouldn't be wanting to do that. And we do need cover in that position. My last question is where does this leave Luke Prosser?
