Ticket News Rochdale (a) - Thursday 15th May - NL Playoff Eliminator

A large group of "younger" fans decided to come into the Pearl Street stand for that game, which actually made for a good atmosphere. However, when some Spennymoor fans ran onto the pitch after the penalty shoot-out, a large proportion of those who had decamped to Pearl Street took offence, which the police and stewards weren't ready for. There were a few punch-ups on the pitch, which quickly dissipated, but it wasn't a pleasant scene.

By limiting Southend's allocation and putting you in the middle blocks of Willbutts, it should remove the chance of something similar happening, although I'd be amazed if anyone from either side invaded the pitch after this game, given the winners still have to win again to get to Wembley.
Remember something similar back in 2019 when you beat us 2-0 at yours to confirm safety in League One, got a bit ugly as police/stewards were not prepared for your fans to run over to the away end.

Here’s the revised pick up times
Away Travel to Rochdale

Due to major roadworks enroute to Rochdale, on the advise of our coach operator we are having to bring forward the departure times for our coaches as follows:

ROOTS HALL 12:00
THE ELMS 12:10
HADLEIGH CHURCH 12:15
TARPOTS CORNER 12:25
THE WATERMILL 12:40
FORTUNE OF WAR 12:45

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
I drove to Braintree and back on Monday, and the only 'major roadworks' I encountered were near to Doncaster, where a bridge on the A1 is being repaired. There's certainly nothing on the approach to Rochdale, but it's better to be safe than sorry, I suppose.

1-0 :)

Hopefully it will pass off peacefully, although we seem to have attracted a youthful element who think being goaded by celebrating Spennymoor fans gives them carte blanche to do what they want.

Which answers your own question.

Purchased from a rat of an owner renowned for being without any honor 20+ years ago and hoping for recognition of said transaction for a play off ticket allocation in 2025 under new ownership.

Its a bit of a stretch dont you think.
Nope. And thankfully club doesn't agree with you.

I seem to remember 2-0 perhaps a disallowed goal for you guys?

Hoping all the action happens on the pitch this time round, and selfishly in our favour. Should be a good match

This was the last 2-0 between the clubs - some 21 years ago!

I'm not sure why someone who bought a share or 2 20+ years ago would get any priority.

Season card holders definitely and probably should be an away game loyalty scheme for those that travel away from home often, but so difficult to do if you have to buy tickets from away teams direct.
Because we were told effectively the shares were worthless but we'd get priority on tickets. And as a shareholder (owner) in any enterprise you expect the odd perk or two.

Dont know if you remember but our first season in the NL the club did a loyalty points system. They produced a list of away games and points against each one. For example Daggers 10 pts, Gateshead 50. But you had to email in and send proof of purchase so that they could add it to your account on the Sufc site. I did this and used to send end for my group but know many others didnt and couldnt be bothered so it was scrapped thereafter
From memory this was when Southend sold most of the Away tickets. Once it went to every club selling their own tickets there was no benefit to the scheme.

Has anyone been able to collect tickets from sufc ticket office yet? I know it says Saturday on website but was thinking of trying my luck after work

Exactly. I think there needs to be some clarification from the club if this is still the way forward or if they are even aware now? Can this be brought up in the next liason meeting?
