SUFC: The Future RH Redevelopment

Ultimately, the design of the stand will be predicated on the findings of the feasibility study, so posting photos of nice-to-haves is great, but ultimately flies in the face of how the actual process will work from this point onwards.
The feasibility study is critical - if you put good quality research in, you get a quality brief out the other end.

Do you have full faith in the appointments SUFC have made to deliver that?

Appreciate you may not want to put personal views out regarding those organisations what with your line of work but someone who knows nothing about this if you say that theyre of the right pedigree that would be enough for me.

Out of interest what takes priority. Do you design the seating view and then kit out the useable space underneath / behind it with other things such as hospitality, club offices, club shop, venue hire etc to fit around that or vice versa?
That will be something that the club will have to included as the scope of the feasibility study, it will most likely include some form of optioneering but they must have issued some form of statement of requirements otherwise the study will be pointless.

That said I've worked on engineering projects where the customer genuinely doesn't have a clue what they want and continually change the scope, they pull a surprised pikachu face when they get an additional estimate for the change.

I know them all but it isn't my place to comment either way.

Chicken and egg - you need a well defined brief before you do anything.
Once you know what functionality you need and what minimum capacity requirements you have, a good architect with sport & leisure pedigree should be able to formulate something worthwhile - ergo, the feasibility design.
Once you have this, you can then start refining / streamlining the scope and aesthetic to meet a target budget figure.

What sort of timescale do we expect for the work to start on the east and complete.

Roots Hall is a dinosaur of a stadium and the east stand is literally crumbling

From memory, the slated date to commence works was summer 2027, I think, with a working timeline of around 2 years to complete.

Of course, without any concrete plans in place yet, this is all subject to change, I guess.
