Does'nt this cut the revenue of the shop (a different organisation to the club) instead of the club giving back something to the season card holders?

Yes but i suppose the £20 on offer is part of the clubs cut received for each shirt sold!

Hadn't read the whole thing Smiffy, if that's the case then all well and good!

Wouldn't be happy with that at all. There are plenty of us who would love to have the time and money to do all those trips but can't. That's far too selective and imo the club's loyalty should be to its STHs first and foremost.

Work harder and get your prioritys in order!

If you dont want it enough then you wont go all them games!

and if thats the case then your not really bothered about missing games - no shame in that

Maybe some people actually have a life outside of football, hey ho.

Cap system old boy?

The discussion needs to be had.

He was considering it a couple of years back. We were playing Brighton and the club put away tickets to a ballot as there weren't so many available. I'd been to every game thus far and wrote to him asking why as a season ticket holder and a permanent attendee of away games I had to go into a ballot with people who would see Brighton as their first away game.

I mentioned that I always bought my tickets at the club shop (must of been L1 or the CCC then) and they always took my name when purchasing and therefore can't these records be used for a sort of loyalty system alá EnglandFans caps. He rung me and said it was an excellent idea and he'll look into it, as I was right and the technology was there, and that the ballot system wasn't fair.

Needless to say it never happened. Must of been smoke and mirrors. Ron out!

PS. I got my tickets, we lost 3-2 & and IIRC Bas Savage ripped us apart.

at a guess id say 90% of those who went to both those games and cheltenham where season ticket holders

I agree a lot of club do it but am sure it be a shame just like when they done the Leeds away and Burnley away for the Col ewe ticket

Ended up with people not many but a few just buying the tickets and not going

And he made us pay for them even before the club had them at the ticket office haha

I'm pretty sure I had to get my ticket stamped on the gate at Burnley to prove I'd been.

Not needed now IMO Smiffy, back when we had sell outs and large followings (L1 title and Champ season) but seeing as a lot of the cling ons that appeared when we were doing well are now scuttling away again this just won't happen

Already sorted mine and the nippers Cards for next season so £20 for my Away Kit... and if i'm reading that right Juniors will get a £15 voucher on theres... so only £18 for his... two shirts £38 instead of £73! Saving of £35! Well done the Club on this one, hopefully will encourage high sales of the kits next season.

Yes but I travelled up with you and we asked the steward about it and he had no idea but then he found the stamp but loads didnt

JJ was one who didnt go and went to sufc ticket office and said he didnt get it stamped and they done it for him :(

Id rather those who made the effort to make the trips to Crewe and Accrington get rewarded rather then us being rewarded for buying something we would/have already brought

Those dedicated enough to do such trip hardly need encouraging to renew I guess.

I think that this is actually an admission of pitching it wrong to begin with but at least it'll mean some money off when I purchase next seasons shirt so got to say well done for that.

Any gesture by the club is good but, are we looking at damage limitations here????????

It also got me thinking. Apart from this season I normally purchase many items throughout the year from the club shop BUT this year I am ashamed to say I have not purchased one single item. Surely with the gates falling this must have a knock on effect in the shop
