Question Resuming protests?

so we had 15 players and your saying our playing budget will be less next season… jeez
We may, due to the embargo, have been spending nowhere near our budget this season- so 20% less than this years budget may be none the less be an increase on this years actual spend…hopefully I guess…

*PROTEST ANNOUNCEMENT*
*TOMORROW, SATURDAY 6TH APRIL, 11AM*
Here we go again. Our previous statement said we remained ready to take action and we meant it.

We are calling a protest: *TOMORROW SATURDAY 6TH APRIL at 11AM* outside Ron Martin's home *on the corner of Benfleet Road and Essex Way.*

Our demands to Martin are simple: Pay your debts immediately to stop, once and for all, the existential threat hanging over our club from Winding Up Petitions in order to allow the takeover deal to be completed without any further delay. Commit to proactively work in best faith with the council and financiers in order to expedite the closure of the deal.

We call on all Shrimpers fans dust off the banners and join us to deliver these demands to Martin's front door.

Fans' patience is finite. We haven't gone away, you know.

We're going to have to swerve this one (our first one missed). Still not got the legs to stand there and now Mrs RHB has got the hots and colds. We will drive by though and give it the 'Big Dady' treatment. All those going give it large. And for those that have never been there, a great chance to start now and meet fellow Shrimpers.

Will it go back up if the club gets sold?
Please don't lose sight of the real issues. The Club can't continue to spend more than it earns. The Consortium are committed to make the Club are sustainable business. Obviously it is imperative that we get back to the EFL sooner rather later, but there are other priorities that need addressing as well. Fortunately the playing side isn't far away from what is needed.

Anyone heading to Benfleet Road should be aware that Essex Way is shut to vehicles for a few weeks so there is much less passing traffic and fewer places to park. You can still use Vicarage Hill to go up and down however.

Will it go back up if the club gets sold?
Don't know the answer to that I'm afraid, but I doubt it. It seems the consortium very sensibly want the club to be run within its means financia!y rather than it become another month on month black hole like it's historically been.
The wages for this group are nowhere near what was being coughed up in previous seasons so a reduction in budget isn't going to cause huge problems or lack of squad numbers, and kev is known to prefer a not overly large squad. It might affect getting experience in but with the way this season's gone and with a proper preseason he may believe some experience has been gained by the existing new players.
With the off the field goings on, I think just getting it all sorted before preseason and getting the utility facilities at the new training ground would be a huge boost and an attraction for potential newcomers.
