Request from our Police Football Liaison Officer

The bottle throwing offender got ejected and let back in later after i imagine a stern word.i have noticed oppo players getting reactionary to the NB, more so than when W block was active shall we say.
The biggest problem for me on a day out watching my team is having to tell people they cant stay in my season ticket seat, which ive done 3 times now. There is a row of lads next to me around 18yrs at the most who are all in the wrong seats because they wont tell others in the block to get out of their seats, i dont blame them for that if confrontation isnt their thing, theyre really good kids. All this stand where you like bollocks, sorry but our group are seasos and choose our seats carefully in BV so to miss the stanction.
I'd like to see stewards dealing with this. I was very close to forcibly ejecting someone recently, this i do not need after a day's work, if your mates want to double up in your seat i dont care but dont expect to sit in mine.

Do you remember how this came about?
I think it might be worth having a word with opposition players who score and then parade in front of said North Bank, or in any football ground.
No excuse for hurling objects, but why not prevention better than cure?
Really ?
Do we want to sanitise Football even more ?
Opposition players have been given stick the world over since forever.
Opposition players rubbing it home fans faces is also part of the 'pay back'.
That's Football - the game we all love.
Give it ( verbally ) and take it back ( verbally ).
Anything beyond that is wrong , and we all know that , but please don't take the emotion away from the game.
VAR is already doing that in Premier League

You see, I would argue it's not emotional.
Usually, the goal has been scored, and the scorer is arms folded or similar in front of opposition fans.
What does he hope to achieve?
Yeah, he wants the fans to scream abuse at him, but I would venture one day it's going to turn ugly.
Please note, NO player does at The New Den.

I'm sorry , but I don't agree at all.
Opposition player gets stick all game and then scores.
In my opinion it's the total opposite of 'not emotional'.
I really don't get your point here.
But it's fine - opinions and all that.

I was in the north when it happened. Fans were booing the stewards for taking the young lads away after they reviewed the cameras, which I don’t get. I love our support but I don’t want that to be a things at roots hall, it’s up there with the worst things about football.

The player winding us up is great and adds to the atmosphere, shouldn’t have stuff thrown at him. Full stop

Agreed it's opinion, but my point is one day it's not going to be just 'bants' or whatever, it's going to be serious violence - and have said this three times in this one thread.
Or do you believe that's impossible?
Just for the record, the Solihull scorer got absolutely no stick before he paraded in front of a packed North Bank.

Why did those knobheads invade the pitch yesterday and get themselves a stadium ban? I understand if it's everyone doing it after promotion etc but it's just a bit silly

I'd say only 50% of that sentence was accurate.

I can understand invading the pitch like against Sunderland when it avoided relegation.

There's still a game to go, and I certainly won't be invading the pitch at Gateshead if we get the required point. I'd be too knackered traversing the running track and reaching the pitch. I'll just celebrate watching through thd binoculars.

Did they get themselves a stadium ban ??? On the video it looked like they just went back into the crowd
They did it with live TV cameras about, plus any other cameras, and there were lots. They might not have got thrown out yesterday but they might well get a knock on the door or a letter in the post in a little while...

There was one lad who went over the wall in the West Stand, galloped up to the centre spot for his obligatory selfie, then ran back and did a celebration similar to Goodliffe's when he scored to the bemused Westies near the centre line. He was obviously very pleased with himself, and Mrs RHB's only comment was 'Prat'. summed him up really.

This is a bi-product of the clubs campaign to attract younger fans on cut price tickets. We’ve got a very large base of teenagers following us now. It’s obvious things like this are going to happen now and then. They will learn. A few of the North Bank old guard will give them pointers I’m sure…We were all kids once I suppose. Hopefully some of them will remain fans for life.

Guy in front of us had a blazing row with the lad's father sitting a few rows back about his irresponsible behaviour in encouraging his lad to do this. Both did calm down and the situation was made perfectly clear and they kind of left, apologetically.

I must be getting old. A few lads must have been 16 years old got on the pitch, jigged about and took selfies and went back in the crowd. Stewards and police let them. My thought was silly billies and that it might have been me 55 years ago. No menace, no thuggery, didn’t spoil the team walking round the pitch. Sometimes we need to loosen up a bit.
