Just done a centre half search and Clayton Fortune came up.

26, 6ft 5' centre half, who can also play at left back.

Ok, he's at Darlo, so probably not much cop?

According to that list, having done a search for tall, experienced centre halves, the six that caught my eye on an initial search were:

Michael Duberry, Reading
Ian Breckin, Nottingham Forest
Stefan Stam, Oldham Athletic
Josh Gowling, Carlisle United
Cristopher Doig, Northampton Town
"Dangerous" Dave Morley, Hyde United ;)

He has rejected an offer of a new deal at MK Dons.

Rumoured to be off to Charlton. Decent player, but if he can't agree a new deal at MK Dons, I doubt we could off him the deal he wants.

I'd like Michael Nelson whose contract at Hartlepool is running down at present and recently rejected a new contract from them. Other names like Darren Purse or Michael Duberry would be cracking signings but out of our price range I think. Westwood from Peterbrough is a tall commanding centre half who was in the League Two team of the year when Walsall came up then moved onto Boro.
 
Another centre half to mention is Alan Bennett who was released from Reading. Was on loan at Brentford last season and did very well by all accounts. Somebody else mentioned him on this thread earlier on.
