Recommend me a Chinese Restaurant

My Personal Favourite is Mr pings in Thorpe Bay Broadway , although a take away from the Oriana a couple of doors up is also brilliant

Don't listen to Chadded, he thinks a romantic meal is a tin of bully beef in the company of a camel under the stars in Afghan-land.

Why the necessity for all you can eat? Standard is generally poorer and one plate of Chinese after a duck starter normally fills me up anyway!

Yeah I can see where you are coming from.;)

Lee's in Eastwood Road Rayleigh has to be right up there. True Blue took me there once and I wanted his babies after. Best food I have ever had.

On a similar topic I quite often visit a BYO place on Canvey because my in laws know the proprietor and the food is pretty good.

I have seen parties of four turn up with a crate of Carling, a three litre wine box and a bottle of vodka to accompany their meal.

I always make sure I eat early and avoid the weekends.....

Which one is that? I am aware of the BYO Indian on Furtherwick, but not a BYO Chinese.

Are you familiar with his work?

The Abakash in Benfleet used to be a favourite of mine but it went downhill a bit five or six years ago when the owner left. I remember subsequently hearing that he'd opened a place up on the island.

Yeah I think you are probably right, but we just wanted to have as much selection as possible really! I find it hard to choose what to eat when you have to order one dish! Oh well, It's all booked now so I will report back tomorrow!

Sam, haven't gone past this first page, locally Mr Ping's on the A13 between Kents Hill and Tarpots is very nice for a sit down meal, but otherwise the Pearl Dragon in Southend is one of the best in the area.
