Question Time, Southend, 10th November.

I have applied to be in the audience but highly unlikely I will get a ticket for it.
When I made my application you had to submit two questions you wanted to ask

I would love to see you taking on Diane Abbott!

My two questions were what's the fastest animal in the world and why is the sky blue?

Well, considering the surprise outcome in the US election last night...............

I think our major local concerns are going to buried under the carpet.. namely as:

1: "Will we ever see onions in our burgers again at Roots Hall?"

2. "Could we get an official extra Essex Bank Holiday next year.. on the relegation of Leyton Orient & Colchester Utd this season?"

3. "Never mind Clinton's E-Mails... any chance of having a quick peek at Ron's?"

4. Could we get a £1 discount on a match day ticket, every time mrsblue mentions "Williams" in a post"?

I could go on, but this is a serious & realistic national debate, & one that effects all of us! (solely for that reason, I wouldn't even dream of asking about the future of Fossetts farm).

 :hilarious:

Completely different line-up listed on the BBC website now...

"Panellists include Conservative Dominic Raab, Labour's Yvette Cooper, the SNP's Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, professor of American literature at the University of London Sarah Churchwell and Jan Halper-Hayes of Republicans Overseas."

Poor lineup.

I bet they didn't even try to get Trump or Clinton.

Well I suppose we could have asked Yvette Cooper about how she feels with her husband Ed Balls now getting more votes than ever

I thought Yvette Cooper was the most sensible person on the panel.

Thought she was her usual weak self. Good at whinging but can never offer you anything. Certainly not the best panel ever, could have done with longer time due to the US election obviously going to take up the whole show.

Best person was the local 'Geezer'....." If he said that about my daughter I'd put something in his eye....But we have to work with him"

If Sahara Churchwell wonders why people voted Trump she should watch her performance on BBC iplayer.

I swear I recognise that guy from my occasional lunchtime sessions at The Hamlet Court. He always seems to be there.Must live nearby.

Long way for a lunch time pint. When I lived in Westcliff I was often in there at Weekends around 12 to 15 years ago

On my trips back to SOS I normally stay at The Westcliff, so the HC is the nearest decent pub. They do reasonable lunchtime grub too.

Used to pop in there after games too, (though I prefer The Cricketers).

I thought she was passionate, coherent and consistent. A bit shouty admittedly but that is the sum of my first sentence. I quite fancied her too!
