PS please come clean about Eastwood. Get the doubters back on your side and a few words about the situation might cure the split.
How can anyone say he is not the same player when he gets a ten minute cameo at best every other game. Tomlin was **** at the start of the season and was given ten games odd to find his form. Freddy has not been given a look in. He comes on and shows control and vision and yet he doesnt ever get a look in. Yesterday was the ultimate insult to a Southend legend.

We can speculate for ever but until something official comes from the manager/club no-one knows the full facts, so why the big fuss ?
Agreed, the injury thing doesn't not cut it with me.. if your on the bench your fit enough to play, if not leave him in the stands.
Fred is like southend silverware, you wouldn't keep a trophy in a knackered old cupboard you would treat it with respect.
Freddy has done it for us before, has Benyon?
If PS doesn't get us promotion this year I think that would be his lot, will we remember PS then?, Fred is a bit of Southend's Gloriest past he is leaving to rot, a lot of us remember that time with fondness, so seeing him not get a look in ****'s some of us off.
If Eastwood gave Southend as much respect as you do Eastwood maybe he would be playingYesterday was a great game to watch, but one thing is causing a bit of a split among blues supporters... the treatment of Eastwood.
For me yesterday it was a disgrace to see Benyon get on before Fred, who next if front of him for striker "Bentley", nothing against Benyon, but UNLESS Eastwood was injured he should not be getting on before him if we needed a goal.
Freddy is a Southend Legend, his goals, his transfer money, success when he was part of the team.... so while he is here he needs to be treated well... PS you have not got us promoted yet so not sure we hold you in the same manner we do Freddy.

He's not the Eastwood of 6 years ago in many ways.
Unfortunately he is twice the Eastwood of 6 years ago.....
I reckon he'll feature in the JPT game on Tuesday, as has been pointed out before PS covered this subject at the Pie and a Pint night so all the conspiracy theorists can think again.
As Ken says (and I said the other day), during the Gills game, his knee was heavily strapped so he's clearly NOT fit enough to play for any length of time, and if we can keep Corr on our books, not playing for a year, then I think Fred deserves to have a bit of slack cut.
Any striker can 'put them self about'. Stick me on the pitch and I'd run around a lot. Fred is far more likely to create or score a goal than a player who has scored 4 goals since Jan 2011. Even on tues vs the gills he created a gilt edged chance for corr.
Seems Luggy doesn't want Fred or Benyon so should get rid of both if that's the case because both will be on a decent wage I imagine.
People complaining about the lack of goals seem to forget he's played very few. Hard to make an impact in a few 10 minute appearances.
As already stated yesterday, Eastwood is prone yo ding his own thing and against a higher division team like Brentford, discipline and shapes is needed and Eastwood does not have this.
I have not seen anything of Eastwood so far this season to prove that he brings anything to the game either.
What Benyon did was put himself about, he harried the Brentford defence and tried to force them into an error.
