Positives

leaving at the final whistle to avoid the crowds
A couple of hours away from my old lady
realising at 20 stone and 33 years of age I could still make it as a profesional
knowning that if I was diagnosed with parkinsons I could apply to manage a league football team and probably get the job ( inbetween napps)
Know that if I got the job I could get my son a game
listening to our super fans advising us after the game like last season it will take time for the team to gel (and gel they did last year!!!!)
getting another new enermy to my ever growing list of admires on SZ
getting a sqeeky rubber duck for my little boy
knowing that if I brought my son some food today he will never want to eat food from a vending outlet again when we are out
having the luxary of about 100 spare seats around me to lounge out on
Watching that crock of **** making me realise that life isnt so bad for me
admiring paul sturrocks little goatie and matching hair doooo and giving me inspiration as to my next chop
there thats my posotives, which far out weigh the negatives!! I bet you would never have thought

And us girls got to see two different players strip off as well, I like this 'no blood on the strip' rule...

I hear a similar "no water on the outfit" rule has been invoked covering dance troupes performing at half time during matches so I'm waiting for some rainy afternoons and evenings when the Bluebelles appear.

Uh - where's Paul Boreham when we need him?

Rob, as you know I'm pretty optimistic about stuff but there wasn't much you could take from the game yesterday. The biggest positive was purely a hope that it was simply a bad day at the office.

I was going to take my mate who occasionally watches dagenham and redbridge , but didnt. I am so thankful for that.

My season card will not doubt be cheaper in the conference next year

It also meant radio presenters were given something very entertaining to have on their sport show. Be either very good or very bad, that's all we ask, because somewhere in the middle makes for dreadful listening.

Mark - another one I thought of yesterday was that PV seem to be one of our bogey sides. I can hardly recall us getting results against them - even when we won L1 they beat us at the Hall. I've particularly bad memories of going up there on a Monday night in the bad old Bate's days, being a goal down in the first minute and losing 4-1. Then the following season a 2-0 defeat up there on the penultimate Saturday of the season set us up for the drop the following week. I actually can't remember us ever beating them in games I've seen, but that could be the Alcozheimer's.

All our yesterdays, one of the most memorable wins over Vale was featured in the programme yesterday. 1980/81, they scored first through the wonderfully named Neville Chamberlain (peace in our time), Blues then scored 5 in a 5-1 romp, we didn't concede another goal at home for another 10 matches.
