Poor Crowds in the old Division One

I was at the Derby game in the east reds. As I recall, some of our supporters came on to the pitch to celebrate the end of the season and Rams thugs took that as a cue to invade the pitch from the north bank and start beating people indiscriminately. I’ve wished their team ill ever since.

It seemed like the bad old days had returned that day.
‘Ginger Lee’ I recall hearing that day went down further in folklore by protecting many blues fans that day so credit where credit is due.
I don’t know the full facts on that one as I was only 9 years old at the time but I’m sure one of the older heads on here can explain more what happened
