Playstation 3 Or Xbox 360

I would much rather have a 360. The graphics on the PS3 are no better, its more expensive and there are no decent games out for it. There are some really good games out on the 360.

True but you can't compare the games as the ps3 hasn't been out anywhere near as long as the xbox 360.

Wii, its so different and yet again its Nintendo who have the balls to try something new, and the fact they are so much cheeper than eveyone else us has left the other ****ed.

Sony say the Wii, and were like........................o ****

And this shows through sales, the Wii gets sold out in every store within hours of arrival, where as all stores have had major cancellations on their reserved PS3's, and you can get them anywhere.

I agree about personal preference, and that not everyone will prefer the Wii, but I think that the revelutionary feel makes it the best, even though it is behind on graphics.

Has anyone played the new Zelda game, amazing!!

Ha! Ha! This seems to be quite a common comment from people around the net. Do I take it you havent tried both?

If you have, you will see that the graphics are quite different - to the point where the 360 almost seems 'last-gen'.

Playing Motorstorm in full HD is a sight better than I have ever seen in over 20 years of gaming.

F1 too looks very, very nice! 360 does have its moments - Gears of War is absolutely beautiful and is as good as anything on PS3, but its few and far between.

It doesnt matter anyway - I think within 12 months, PS3 will be way out in front and 360 will be left far behind - due to its lack of HD space, DVD media and less power than the PS3.

I was genuinely gutted to get rid of the 360 as I had invested so much time and money in it, but after having both for a week or two, the choice was a no brainer.

Anyone in the same situ would do the same, I am confident of that.

I know PS3 is going to be great eventually, and Xbox360 is already good (and the Live mode is awesome I hear) but bear in mind Microsoft are already talking of unveiling a new machine, Blu-Ray isn't catching on and that a PS3 price drop will occur in the coming months.

If I were you, I'd wait for PS3 (or get involved with 360 if you like its style of gaming), and lap up all the PS2 cheap fun going out there like I am. I'm not even going to consider getting one until I have mastered the following:

i know they're old(ish), and may not look spectacular compared to some of these newer efforts, but everyone knows the first generation of games for a new machine always suck *** - give it 6 months, enjoy the best that the current generation has to offer then trade up, saving yourself a few hundred quid

Wii is outselling PS3 5 to 1!

More to do with the cost and novelty though, so wouldnt read too much into it...

If and when I upgrade my ps2 Ill probably get the Xbox 360. The PS3 may be a higher spec machine but the Xbox has established itself now and has Microsofts clout behind it.

PS3 may come with a blueray player, but you can get a HD Drivefor the xbox 360 anyway.

Games catalogues going forward will be good for both formats and Im sure most games will be released for both.

Id intend to use it for media streaming from my Vista PC (can PS3 do this ?) and also the online gaming I think will be better with Microsoft behind it. Theres already games coming out with cross platform gaming so Xbox and PC gamers can play on the same servers. (again this might be possible on PS3).

Once you add on a Blu-Ray (or HD-DVD) player and the cost of Gold Live for a year, then it doesnt make the PS3 price look so bad!

Wireless Media streaming is integrated into the PS3 and even better using a program called TVersity, which can stream loads of formats (web and files), iTunes etc - very cool.

As you say, it really comes down to the games - which once developers harness the potential of the PS3 will leave little comparison. They have already said that Pro Evo 7 will have about 3 times as much content on as the 360 version - which could be more teams, kits, stadiums, chants etc etc.

I think buying a 360 now is short-term dead money. If you can, wait till a PS3 price drop, or get it on credit or something! There arent as many games out, but I still find reason to play at least some of F1, Motorstorm, Resistance or Oblivion every day (and I get bored easily!!).

Nope Wii literaly outstriped demand. It outsells both Xbox 360 and PS3 combined .

Its not really to compete with bot h and will possibly be caught up . PS3 hopefully as it is more about forward thinking in PC archeytecture (teh Xbox is 1) Microsfot 2) a PC )

PS3 has 7 cores to its processor and some really obscene future capabiltes for processing .

PS3 , for games no PC can touch it (unless you have about £2500-£3000)

Plus you get a Blue-ray drive with PS3

(I actually have a Wii and a Ps2 btw )

I think Playstation has done well by making the psp able to link up with the ps3 and you can put everyting on the psp onto the ps3 or vice versa. Ps3 seems to be more favourable at this moment in time.

Yea, with the latest PSP update you can even do it over the net. So (in the albeit unlikely situation), you could be on the other side of the world with a PSP and if your PS3 is on, watch or listen to any content on it!!

That is pretty cool - whether its practical to use or not is debateable? Somebody hooked a webcam up to the PS3 and viewed it from over the web, that was pretty neat - could see something like that working with Singstar (or Rockband/Guitar Hero).

Still, its all good technology advancement and gives a hint of things to come.
